Hi Allrecipeeps!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a great week!

I wanted to let you know about a small change we are making to the Recipe Exchange. Although the Recipe Exchange is fabulous as is (we all love it!), we have decided to rename it... to... (you guessed it!) Recipe Buzz!

All of your past posts are still accessible, and it will appear as they always have. (Promise!) You will be able to access the newly named 'Recipe Buzz' by clicking on the top tab just as you did with the 'Recipe Exchange.'

We think you will love Recipe Buzz just as much as you loved the Exchange - and we hope you like the new name! (After all, we don't *just* exchange recipes, we also discuss them... which is more of a 'buzz' anyways!)

As always, please email us at if you have any questions or concerns, and we would love to hear what you think!

I like that you're making improvements here all the time. I do wish, however, that there was less drama there.

I would really like to see more effort put into publishing/rejecting some of the recipes that people have, sitting in AR limbo...

I have to say I just don't like this name, can't get my head around recipe buzz at all. I know I have got to get used to it, but to me the name sounds so childish! Sorry I am posting negative views here, but its just how I feel! Personally I think recipe exchange suited us far better...

It's a minor change, really, but came as a surprise when I signed on tonight. I have to say I am in complete agreement with EAKE. There are so many recipes in limbo. I've submitted several seasonal ones, but don't hold much hope. The only recipes I've had published were accepted almost immediately after submitting, so it makes me think the ones I have in limbo will be there forever.

@apple.strudel Just my opinion, but Recipe Exchange hardly fits the site either.. it's more like Recipe Battleground.. it's why I never go there and it's such a shame since I pay to use this site.

About Me is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions
All of them! How could anyone choose? All year long our community is cooking and celebrating seasonal holidays and special family occasions. Even the dinners we all have to get on the table every night can be a cherished tradition—or will seem so once the kids are grown.
My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
