Last week’s most popular new recipe was Pork Chops and Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes. Way to go Jellem!

Two days to go until America’s favorite holiday, Sneak a Zucchini, and Mom's Zucchini Bread experienced a surge of activity on the site last week. Maybe this year people will be leaving baked goods rather than bushels of squash on their neighbor’s porches. We can only hope.

Ramadan begins next week, and to mark the event we have published Chicken Breasts in a Date, Caper, and Mascarpone Sauce with Couscous, described by the submitter as “a marvel of flavors… a nice approach to an Arabian fusion cuisine.”

Summer is still the main focus with fruit taking the forefront this week. Watermelon Feta Salad combines sweet and salty with spicy arugula and red onion for a refreshing summertime salad. Watermelon is tossed with jalapeno peppers and cilantro in Uncle Jon's Watermelon Salsa. Fresh Fruit Basket Cobbler combines peaches, nectarines, and plums in a quick and easy cobbler topped with refrigerated biscuit dough.

Oh yes, zucchini is a fruit too. Chicken Zucchini Bake is flavored with basil, oregano, and garlic, set atop a crescent roll crust, and smothered with shredded mozzarella cheese in this hearty main course. Go crazy this weekend with Jalapeno Scorpion Pigs. They might sound scary, but it’s alright, they contain bacon!

About Me is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at
