Hi there Allrecipeeps!

All you Supporting Members - have you noticed the option on recipe pages for 'Kitchen-Friendly View'? Have you tried it? The Kitchen-Friendly View of a recipe shows you the whole recipe, including instructions on one screen, no scrolling necessary! I know I take my laptop into the kitchen for almost every meal to follow a recipe, and the less I have to touch it, the cleaner it stays! ;)

I came across a Recipe Exchange Thread in January, started by RLOGAN01. The topic was 'You know you are addicted to AR when...' And iceemama was the first to say 'you actually burn dinner because you are on AR!'.

Well - check out the recipe timer! The Kitchen-Friendly View not only shows the entire recipe on one screen, but also keeps track of the cook time once you hit 'Start'.  So, feel free to enjoy Allrecipes, or any of your favorite sites while you are cooking, and NOT burn your dinner!

Happy Cooking!

I just became a supporting member (thanks to my DH) and one of the reasons is this kitchen friendly feature. I have a laptop on the corner of my kitchen counter and I'm sure I'll use this alot!

Yes, I did see that over the W/E-I think it's great, & the timer idea is right on. I'll be using this feature when I'm back to cooking-that might be a couple of weeks.

About Me
Allrecipes.com is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, Allrecipes.com is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at m.allrecipes.com.
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions
All of them! How could anyone choose? All year long our community is cooking and celebrating seasonal holidays and special family occasions. Even the dinners we all have to get on the table every night can be a cherished tradition—or will seem so once the kids are grown.
My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
