Hi Everyone!

It’s Elizabeth, your Consumer Relations Manager again!

BIG NEWS FOR ALLRECIPES! Allrecipes has over 3 MILLION Members! Mary Thomas, AKA thomygirl, joined Allrecipes.com on August 19th, and she is our 3 millionth member! Mary joined when she was searching for some recipes for her family reunion, which took place last month.

The Allrecipes community is what makes Allrecipes so fabulous, and each and every one of you are part of it! Please join me in welcoming Mary, and give yourselves all a pat on the back for the contributions you have made to Allrecipes over the years.

I hope you all are doing well, and until next time; Happy Cooking!
Elizabeth

Wow, and how many of us are addicted to this place! Thanks Allrecipes for the website and a place for all these marvelous recipes!

Absolutely love this site. I find it 'interesting' that when people rate recipes, it goes something like this: "loved the original recipe, but didn't have such 'n such on hand so I used such 'n such instead., so I just gave this recipe two stars. My family though it was just okay. Not great. " Hello? Use what the recipe called for or don't make it until you have the proper ingredients! Until you follow the recipe as printed, don't critique it.

I just joined all recipes group and have not cooked anything yet but I love the sight. I love that people who rate the recipes are not rude or mean they actually give you tips on how they bettered the recipes and if they don’t like it they explain why. I find this web site to be fun and very helpful thank you. Still looking for my next menu I have not cooked in 4 years so I am a little concerned but you all make me feel supported. Thank you again

Wow over 3 MILLION members, welcome Mary, hope you enjoy allrecipes as much as I have. There are so many talented cooks on here and so many delicious recipes. I'm on here everyday and so many times this site has gotten me out of the old question what should I make?

Hi, Everyone! Thank you for all the positive comments and enthusiasm. Allrecipes is all about its members and you are the BEST! It's you who have made our site the #1 cooking site in the world! And to answer Cooking in Vermont's question about the source of our 3 million members, it's everyone who has registered as a member on Allrecipes.com. They can live anywhere in the world, but they've joined the dot-com site, not any of our new international sites. Cool, no? Here's to a fun weekend for all with lots of delicious cooking!

About Me
Allrecipes.com is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, Allrecipes.com is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at m.allrecipes.com.
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions
All of them! How could anyone choose? All year long our community is cooking and celebrating seasonal holidays and special family occasions. Even the dinners we all have to get on the table every night can be a cherished tradition—or will seem so once the kids are grown.
My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
