considering the ingredients it turned out great and is very easy to make but regarding its taste i'd op for the 'normal' all inclusive ingredient type anyday

Lighter Banana Muffins

hey all, this isnt the first time i've made these but tonight i forgot to add what i thought was an esential ingredient : the eggs! and guess what - i still cant understand how these still actually rose and turned out great! lol. i also replaced about 3/4 cup of the flour with unsweetened cocoa powder and threw in some choc chips for good measure. will definately make them this way again, especially the no eggs bit. am curious to see if it was just a one time stoke of baking luck or if the recipe can really do without the eggs.

Uncle Bill's Sweet and Sour Sauce

thanks for sharing this recipe! its the closest to the one i had (and lost and had been making for yrs)and use it to make sweet n sour chicken. i reduced the vinegar and sugar (used half cup each), omitted the salt, msg, and food colouring and substituted the pineapple concentrate for the juice that comes in the pineapple can.

these came out great. used a smaller tin as someone suggested. thought the sugar was a little much so just used 1 cup and then alterated the cocoa to half a cup and used 2 cups of flour. thanks for sharing!

wow these are great! was skeptical about the vinegar at first but followed the recipe (added less sugar and salt though) and they turned out perfect. have to agree with some other reviews about the servings, it was just enough for my husband and I.

'Out of Salad Dressing' Salad Dressing

this is amazing. it tastes like the dressing they use to make prawn coctail at restaurants. i only refrigerated this for 3 hours (just in time for lunch) and made it exactly as stated. may use a little less lemon juice next time, but again, this was fab. thanks loads for sharing! now i need never buy italian/salad dressing again!

i give this 4 stars as it came out great but doesnt have that flakey texture phyllo has. also i had to add about a cup more flour as the 1/3 cup milk turned out to be a bit much

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

fantastic! i changed the recipe a bit by using 3 eggs instead of 4, 1 cup oil and half the amount of sugar. i couldnt beleive how well the zucchini blended and hid into each slice. my husband didnt even realise it had zucchini in it and my mother pointed at the walnuts thinking she'd spotted the veg :) will definitely make again...perhaps each week till the zucchini season runs out! lol

Mom's Zucchini Bread

this was fantastic! i'd never made breads before and i am sceptical when cinnamon is on the list, but this turned out really well! (i put two tsps cinnamon), added a bit more milk (about 1/4 cup)to the mix as it was looking more like a dough than a batter, and only used 3/4 cup sugar! will try to go for even less sugar next time as i think it'll still taste good. lovely recipe. thanks heaps for sharing!

I don't find yellow cake mix where I live, so now I can still make all other recipies that mention it on this site :) The yellow mix I tried turned out quite heavy but I don't know if that is the way it should turn out. But anyhow, thanks again for sharing!
