About this Cook
I love to explore with herbs and spices, I feel like my kitchen is my laboratory, and my family and I get to eat my creations. I'm blessed to have kids that love vegetables, and ethnic foods so the sky is the limit for dinners.
My favorite things to cook
I'm italian and French so cooking italian/French foods is second nature. I love cooking asian and mexican dishes, as well as cajun/creole. I do however love to find new recipes, regarless of ethinticity.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved when my grandma would cook for us on weekends, birthdays, any holiday. It was a time for the family to get together and enjoy a great meal while laughing and enjoying one anothers' company.
My cooking triumphs
When I make a meal and see people smiling and ejoying it, to me that's a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I did the all known no no by leaving the house while things were on the stove, thinking it would be fine. We came home to a house full of smoke and two scared kitties. Needless to say the house was in one piece, no fire and I'll never ever do that again..SHAME ON ME!!

Lemon Pasta Sauce
I have this sauce on the stove as I type this. I didn't want to use the lemon juice, as my mom taught me when I first started cooking that if you don't have buttermilk on hand to just add lemon juice to your cream or with that being said, I didn't want a "buttermilk" sauce on my pasta, so what I did was I melted my butter on med-low, added 2 Tablespoons of lemon grass herb blend (you can find the tubes next to the fresh herbs at your local produce section of the grocery store), and about 1 tsp lemon pepper, and I added a chicken bouillon cube to my cream. Came out PERFECT, nice, subtle lemon taste.

The Best Cheeseball
I made this for a Christmas party, shaping it into a snowman like the picture. EVERYONE not only loved the cute little snowman, but they enjoyed eating it as well. I had no leftovers except the hat, eyes, nose, arms, ect. like Frosty had melted!! GREAT recipe thank you very much for sharing.
