About this Cook
I like to cook, but I love to bake and decorate cakes. I have been running a successful home bakery/cake business for years with lots of return customers as well as new. I pride myself on delicious recipes along with uniquely decorated cakes with great detail and precision.

Snow Cone Syrup II
Having kids with ADHD (& one allergies), we don't do artificial dyes. This is a great alternative when we allow them to have the occasional sweet treat. Instead of Kool Aid, I use 1-2 tsp colorless extract in lieu of the Kool Aid. Usually I divide the simple syrup evenly between two Pyrex dishes and add about 1/2 to 1 tsp extract/flavoring into each and then set aside to cool. Those looking for colorless or natural colored flavorings, many professional cake/candy supply shoppes carry a few. Also, check out the artisan line with Amoretti (Whole Foods uses those in their bake shop); I LOVE the Amoretti flavorings! http://www.amoretti.com/amoretti_artisan_natural_flavors/Artisan%20Natural%20Flavors/30/1

Filipino Lumpia
Outstanding! I omitted the cabbage since my husband is on blood thinners and can't have the vit K, but was still great! As another reviewer wrote, use only 3 teaspoons (not 3 tablespoons) per wrapper. Without the cabbage, it made 21 rolls. I served with bottled Thai sweet chili sauce in a bowl. Everyone loved them!

Polynesian Watermelon Drink ('Otai)
Made this for an island inspired graduation party. I used really sweet watermelon and delicious, fresh pineapple (crushed it). I followed the recipe to the tee and no one liked it at all. I really expected a quite different turn out. Maybe adding some ginger ale might help?
