Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I bought a 9+ lb ham and cut in to fit in my big slow cooker with the lid on for Christmas dinner. I think this is what kept it moist and delicious. My finicky family LOVED this recipe and I will be using it again.

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
My husband and I loved this salad! I added sunflower seeds and leftover ham chunks to it. Absolutely fabulous. It would be great with chicken, too. This is going to be a regular supper recipe in our house!

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
This cake was a disappointment. I followed the recipe and reviewers' hints to a T only to have the cake overflow the pan and come out in crumbles. Taste was overpowering almond extract. Next time I will try for a traditional pound cake recipe.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
I made this for a high school cross country team get together and had rave reviews by everyone. The last time I made it I used Mexican stewed tomatoes for a little extra zip. Great recipe!

Dump Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2004
I made these bars for 40 high school cross country runners spaghetti dinner at my home. They were gone within 10 minutes of setting them out! I think you must add the chocolate chips or they would just be OK. Thanks for a great recipe!

Marinated Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2004
I made this and took it to work to see how it would go over. Most people (including myself) loved it and it was gone by the end of the day. My husband loved it, too. The cream cheese was the best! Would use sharp cheddar instead of medium next time. This is a great low carb snack on a Triscuit. YUM!

Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2001
I was searching for an old artichoke dip recipe I used to have and thought this was it. It wasn't. The dip was pretty bland and I agree that too much mayo made it greasy. Will continue my search but think this recipe should have cream cheese and less mayonnaise.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
The idea of making stuffing in the crockpot is a Godsend! I made this for Thanksgiving with "World's Best Turkey" recipe (also on allrecipes.com) and it was wonderful. Used croutons instead of torn bread. I agree that 4.5 cups of broth is too much. I used less and it tasted fine. Next time I will only cook it on low for 4 hours at the most. I left in on for 6 and it stuck to the sides of my crockpot! Loved the recipe, though!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
This recipe tastes wonderful and I love the fact that I can make it ahead of time then simply heat it up. Made it for both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. It was a hit both times!

The World's Best Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
This recipe sounded strange but I thought I would try it. It was terrific! I didn't make gravy from the drippings but there were plenty to do so. Will definitely use this recipe again.

Hawaiian Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
Got a new bread machine for Christmas and just had to try it out! We don't have King's Hawaiian bread in our local stores & I have missed it since moving here. This recipe is very close to it. Easy, delicious and the house smelled wonderful while it was baking. This recipe is a real keeper!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2001
These muffins were a huge hit at home and work! I froze individual muffins for my husband to take to work for his morning breaks and they keep beautifully this way! I agree that 1/2 the topping recipe works fine (and keeps melted butter from dripping all over the pans). Fantastic recipe!
