Pumpkin Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
This is by far the best soup ever! Even my husband (who doesn't really like soup) said that the recipe was a keeper. I ran out of sherry vinegar so I substituted it for 1/4 of Sherry and I only had chicken broth in the house so I used it. It was fantastic!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Made this recipe this morning. I have been making breakfast casseroles for the last 10 years trying to find one that my children would like - and this hit the spot. I changed it a bit. I used sausage instead of bacon and eliminated the Swiss cheese. I was really good. The onions really add a lot of flavor. This will be our recipe for Christmas morning from now on...

Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
I made this version of monkey bread this morning, as opposed to one without the butterscotch pudding. This recipe is THE BEST! You can't taste the pudding and it makes the glaze creamier! I will never make the other recipe again!

Butter Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Made these instead of my usual Spritzer recipe. They are fantastic! Very creamy with great flavor from the cinnamon. I cooked them for different lengths of time as some of my family likes crunchy cookies and some of my family likes softer cookies. Both tasted yummy! It is a looser batter so you may need to refrigerate for a few minutes before you press them out.

Grilled Gyro Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
We loved this recipe! I used Trader Joe's Buffalo Burgers and cut down on the amount of dressing that was added to each sandwich. I will definitely make this again!

Charlotte's Tortellini Soup

This is a great recipe. It kind of has a sweet and sour taste. My kids loved it as well.

Ham and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2002
Wow, this is great. We had it with the Slow Cooker Corn Chowder and left the ham out of both for our vegetarian friends. Everyone loved it, even my kids. I will make this again next week.

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2002
I had vegetarian friends over for dinner, so I didn't add the ham. I worried that it would taste bland, but it was great. I definately needs the full 8 - 9 hours otherwise the potatoes won't be done. I will definately make this again.

BBQ Chicken Pizza I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2002
This recipe is a little bit sweet and a little bit runny. I don't think that you need to put all of the sauces on the pizza. I would also use a different crust. We used Boboli (? spelling) and I think it would be better with a plain crust. I will make this again though as it is easy, tasty and the kids loved it.

This is a fantastic alternative to salsa... My husband and I ate half a recipe while watching the Super Bowl.

Kim's Ultimate Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2001
I thought it was a bit too sweet... I would cut the brown sugar in half next time. Otherwise, not bad.

I thought this recipe was awful. I almost served it when I had company, and I am glad that I didn't... Yuck!!!

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2001
This is such a great recipe. I make it with low fat sour cream and low fat cottage cheese and it still tastes like it comes straight out of a mexican restaurant. I cut the chilis in half so that my kids would eat it and it was still great.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2001
I have made 4 recipes this week from this web site and this was our least favorite. It isn't bad, it is just very bland and doesn't taste like the real this. I would suggest more tomato sauce and the addition of garlic...

Best Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2001
This is a good recipe. I would marinate the chicken in Bar-B-Que sauce next time (but I am not a huge fan of steak sauce) and either reduce the amount of onion or replace with jicima (? spelling). Otherwise it was good and I will make it again.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2001
This was a great recipe. I had a friend and her children over for dinner and everyone loved it, even the little ones. I used skinless, boneless chicken thighs as it was all I had in the house and only marinated it for about 40 minutes and it was still great. I would definately make this again.
