Amazing Cocktail Sauce

Delicious! Taste & texture just like in the restaurant. For the chile-garlic sauce, I used LaChoy Ginger Garlic paste (because it was what I had on hand) & it was perfect! I think it gave it a very subtle exotic flare. My husband said "this is awesome!" and that's high praise for him. I made this to go along with perch, fresh from the Adirondacks. So, I think this would nicely accompany any fish. It was also great for dipping french fries in. Definitely won't ever buy prepared again!

Butternut Squash Bisque

My husband was so jazzed to try this! It was fun to make, made the kitchen smell wonderfully homey, and was very tasty. I grilled Panini and served with Red Pepper Hummus. What a great combination!

Mark's English Sausage Rolls

Mmm...very good! Not hard to make, very tasty. They are a little greasy, and next time I think I will use some of the tips from others on prepping them to not be so. I too added sage & onion powder to the sausage meat, jazzing it up a bit. I've never used puff pastry before, so now I'm inspired to try Jamaican patties with ground beef & curry next!

Sandy's Casserole

I made this for a potluck, because I was tired of serving sub-par dishes at potlucks and I really wanted to serve something nice this time. This was easy to make, made a very nice presentation, and disappeared completely in no time at all. I had some and it was awesome! My husband could not believe how fast it went. I took the advice of some others and baked foil covered for 30 minutes, then topped with French's onions and cooked uncovered for an additional 20-25 minutes. Yielded a huge amount. Will make again!

This came out great! Followed the recipe exactly. It was just my husband & I eating (my 15 mo daughter was not interested), so this made 4 large servings for us. Will make again!

Spicy Indian Chicken Curry Yummy

Wow, this was a hot one! I too scaled down the red pepper flakes & peppercorns by half, added 1 cup bouillon & 1/2 cup heavy cream, but this was still hot enough that my husband (a lover of spicy foods) had to drink 3 glasses of soda to get through the meal. I would definitely recommend adding the extra liquids if you want a sauce to go along with this though. You won't have one if you don't! :)

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Wow! I've made this twice now...the first time substituting the onion w/ zucchini & yellow squash slices, and the result with absolutely fabulous! This is the first thing I made in my deep fryer, and without a doubt, this is the only coating & dipping sauce recipe that I'll use for all my veggie frying in the future.

PHILLY Shrimp-in-Love Pasta

The name says it all. The perfect dish, in my opinion. I am a pasta fanatic & I love the cream cheese taste of this...completely refreshing & unique. This is a very romantic dish, meant to be served with wine & music. And you will certainly be in love with this dish once you taste it! :0)

Awesome Bow Tie Pasta

It's not so much that this was so bad...as it wasn't so good. Way too vinegary, and mine didn't look at all as nice & bright as the picture. This recipe made a lot & I'm left with a ton of leftovers that I'm going to have to eat (I hate wasting food)! **********Followup********** Okay, I have to admit that this is much better the next day. I also added some peas that I had (about a cups worth) & an additional 2oz of feta, which cut the vinegar a bit. Much less vinegary...even enjoyable. I've revised up to 3 stars. :)
