Chocolate Crinkles III

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Found and used this recipe tonight. Amazing!!!! I've tried other recipes for crinkles before, they never came out right. These are perfect! Baked up soft and round and fabulous. Couple of side notes: no need to cool the chocolate if you don't overheat it, the oil, sugar, and eggs will cool it plenty. Also, instead of chilling overnight, I popped my dough in the freezer for 45 min, worked perfectly. :) Thank you so much for this recipe, it's never leaving my recipe box!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Best cornbread I ever tasted! Never buying jiffy again either.... Cook time/temp was a bit off for me, but I'll tweak it till it comes out right. Thanks for sharing!

Old-Fashioned Green Beans

Classic green bean recipe! Made these for a friend of mine and he raved more about these beans than the main dish they accompanied. Though I did use chicken broth in place of water.

Southern Gal Biscuits

Excellent biscuits! Though I reduced the baking powder by a teaspoon (hubby said he could taste it), they still came out perfectly. This has become my default biscuit recipe. Thanks!

Lemon Fluff Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
Excellent recipe and wonderful direction! I love to bake, but have always failed at cakes. I gave up years ago. But something stirred me to try this one, and it was a raging success! I opted for coconut flavoring and a light glaze to finish, and still it was divine. Thank you so much for this recipe! My kitchen has been my laboratory ever since I made this cake, and I'm loving every minute of it!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
My mom used to make this all the time, granted, our version is a tad different, but still an amazing recipe! I have her make this as often as possible when I visit. And definitely bake the biscuits WITH the casserole, so much more flavor seeps into them.....mmmmm.....
