The Best Bean and Ham Soup
This was wonderful! Great flavor and consistency. Just a few notes: 1) add a Tbsp of baking soda when boiling the beans for 30 minutes. This makes the beans more porous and reduces the cooking time by hours. 2) Combine the vegetable juice and spices the night before and store them in the fridge. Reduces work and the flavors combine better. 3) After bringing to a boil with seasonings, I transferred to a slow cooker on High. It was done in 8 hours.

Easy Roasted Pork
Oh.My.Gosh. This was awesome, as is. I used regular applesauce and added some cinnamon. Instead of an oven bag I used a covered Dutch oven. You can make a gravy using flour or cornstarch and water with the juices. We all went back for 3rds. A keeper!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp
THIS is my new favorite recipe! And really easy. I thawed some frozen shrimp, and skinned them (tails, too). I tossed these babies on the Foreman grill. 2-3 minutes later, I open the grill & my jaw dropped, they looked so good! AWESOME!! Can't wait to make 'em again! (Be sure to use the drip tray)
