About this Cook
I am a 26 year old stay at home mom! I have a 5 year old boy, my brilliant artist and engineer, and a 2 year old girl, my wild child/princess/diva. My family is my life and I enjoy just staring at my beautiful children. I am so proud of them. My husband is an amazing man and i am so lucky to have him in my life. He is also wonderful to test new recipes on!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE TO BAKE! I try to make healthy meals for my family, but that goes out the window when it comes to dessert. I am female and I love dessert and chocolate. I also love to try new things and rarely make the same thing twice. My kids love to help in the kitchen so I really look forward to making special treats with them. Food is always so much better when the kids add their own special touch!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookie weekend with the family. Every November, my whole family goes to grandma's and we spend the weekend making thousands of cookies to distribute to family and friends!
My cooking triumphs
I love cake decorating. So With each birthday I am trying to make each cake better than the last! (Doesn't always work out that way though...I am my worst critic.)
My cooking tragedies
I'm not the best fryer and often burn things. The kids like to make donuts but every time we make them they are burnt on the outside and raw on the inside!

Speedy Homemade Salsa
I made this salsa for a cookout. I originally doubled the recipe (but still only used one jalapeno because i didn't want it to be too spicy for some - it was perfect), but after just 30 minutes of it being on the table it was almost gone. I ended up having to quickly whip up another double batch. Everyone asked to go home with the recipe. Will definitely make this over and over again!

Jimmy's Mexican Pizza
I was able to make 6 mexican pizzas with this recipe! It was sooooooo good. I will never again order a mexican pizza from taco bell again! This was delicious and super easy! (I didn't use jalapenos though)
