Buttermilk Hush Puppies

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2014
I'm a Northern girl who moved to Louisiana. I've had some good hush puppies down here but this recipe is fan-freaking-tastic. My husband gobbles them right up. These aren't quite as dense as the ones I've had at some local restaurants but I love that. I do decrease the sugar to a tablespoon and add some sweet frozen corn. These are to die for. One of my favorite finds on this site. Thank you!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Followed the directions, except I could not wait the whole 6 hours, so we settled for 4. We also used a water bath. This will be the recipe I use from now on. This is the perfect texture and taste. We topped with canned cherries for half, and a raspberry sauce we made for the other half. Superb! Thanks for the recipe!

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
These came out very good. I did add walnuts. I did not need to chill the dough to keep the cookies from flattening with this recipe which was nice. I will make these again.

Chicken Wing Dip

I have made this recipe numerous times. I do shred my chicken rather than cube it. Tastes wonderful and simple to make!

Pizza On The Grill I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
Thank you for this recipe! I made the dough per instructions and it was lovely. We did use different toppings onions, peppers, tomato, hot sausage, and mushrooms. I precooked everything but the tomatoes. It tasted wonderful. We will make this again!

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Very easy, and tasted great. I think the egg wash taste the best (I tried a milk, an egg, and a butter wash). Will be making these again! Thanks for the recipe!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2010
Excellent corn bread! I made it per the instructions the first time. The second time I substituted real dark NY maple syrup for half the sugar. Both of them turned out wonderful. I cooked them in preheated cast iron pans. I will be making this recipe again, and again. Thank you for posting it!

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
Simply wonderful. The dough is fluffy and crisp. I have never made cobbler before and it is super easy. I did have to use frozen raspberries, but it turned out lovely. I will use this again and again! I made it per directions the first time, but I added some nutmeg and cinnamon to the berry mixture since then and like the slight spice.

Strawberry Sauza®-Rita

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Very, very yummy. We use Strawberry Puree mix in place of the liqueur. We use either the Martini and Rossi Asti, Adnre's or Cooks Spumante for the champagne. **UPDATE** I gave this recipe to a friend to use for her son's wedding. She said it was very easy to increase the recipe yield and that it was a MAJOR hit! (Be careful though, you might find yourself dancing a little too enthusiastically after just a couple)

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Great cookies. I like my cookies puffy so I added more baking powder. I also cooked them on a preheated baking stone. Lovely taste!

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I tried a different recipe for these types of rolls and while they tasted like Red Lobsters the consistency was not quite right. Yours are perfect. The only thing I did different was to put a little parsley in the dough as well as on top. Thank you for posting this recipe!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
I followed this recipe exactly. They came out perfect (I posted a picture of them)! They didn't spread, were chewy and delicious. They are not super peanut buttery, but I liked that. They are loaded with chocolate chips which I also liked. My oven took exactly 12 minutes, the bottoms were just slightly brown when I pulled them out. I will make these again, and again, and again!!! Thank you so much for posting this recipe.
