Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Followed the directions, except I could not wait the whole 6 hours, so we settled for 4. We also used a water bath. This will be the recipe I use from now on. This is the perfect texture and taste. We topped with canned cherries for half, and a raspberry sauce we made for the other half. Superb! Thanks for the recipe!

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Very easy, and tasted great. I think the egg wash taste the best (I tried a milk, an egg, and a butter wash). Will be making these again! Thanks for the recipe!

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I tried a different recipe for these types of rolls and while they tasted like Red Lobsters the consistency was not quite right. Yours are perfect. The only thing I did different was to put a little parsley in the dough as well as on top. Thank you for posting this recipe!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
This is the third time I have tried to make pretzels, I haven't had any luck thus far. I decided to change recipes and came across this one. They came out perfect. I made them per directions, except that I brushed the freshly baked pretzels with butter and sprinkled with coarse salt. They were gone within minutes. The entire family loved them. I will be making these again. Thanks for the recipe!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
My housemate made this bread, and I fell in love. I decided to make it myself, to see if it would come out just as well, and it was flawless. I do not usually like whole wheat bread. The honey and mixture of the two flours makes this recipe a winner. I made this exactly as directed.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
The ONLY think I did different was to flip the bread 15 minutes before I took it out. I did this because I really do not like soggy bread. My family really liked it, I thought it was pretty good. It was cooked well, and tasted good. Since I had flipped it the syrup created a soft crust on the bottom of the bread (yummy). If I make this again I think I will double the syrup and add half before baking and half when I flip it. Thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
This is, without a doubt, the BEST alfredo. I do not usually like alfredo, many places make it too heavy and it spoils my appetite. The only thing I did differently was to use margarine (it was what was in the fridge). This was nice and creamy, with an excellent flavor. Next time I may add a few herbs, but this stands on its own as is. Plus it's quick and easy to make! This will become a regular at my house.

Bagels II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
Mine did not look like supermarket bagels, but boy did they taste good. I think my problem may have been too much flour. I did kneed until it was elastic but when I went to roll the balls parts of the dough wouldn't stick to itself very well. Oh well, they may not be the prettiest but they are the tastiest. I made sesame seed, fennel seed, onion, celery seed and plain salt. My father was skeptical about the whole "I'm going to make my own bagels" but he is now devouring them all, so I'd say it was a success!

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
These were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The only thing I did differently was use jarred jalapenos because that is all I had. My mother came home and grabbed a couple slices and after tasting ask my father where he had bought them! It was a surprise for her when she found out we made them. I would highly recommend this recipe.

Rocky Road Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
These are perfect! I ended up halving the recipe. I made it as directed. My family loves it! I did chill them prior to cutting/eating. They melt a little in your hand, and are sooooo good.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
I wish I had read the reviews before making. I also should have realized 1 tsp was waaaaay too much salt. They did rise beautifully but the super salty taste ruined it. The baking powder seemed like a little much as well...

Beignets

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
Absolutely amazing!!!! I've never had the beignets in New Orleans but I think these taste great. They are like mini-fried doughs from fairs. The recipe yields a very large amount so I actually freeze a portion and make them later.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I poked the steak and then placed it in a baggy with all the ingredients and let it sit for 5 hours prior to grilling. It was excellent! I did add a little more lemon that it called for.

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This is, hands down, one of my favorite pork loin recipes. I tossed all of the ingredients into the crock pot, added cranberries and sliced apples to the mixture and cooked for 4 hours on high. It was so tender it was falling apart as we tried to take it out. My parents LOVED it (and they were a little wary beforehand). It was VERY easy to make.

Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
There were very good. I used vanilla to taste, a little nutmeg, and a dash of cinnamon. The consistency should be that of a thick pancake batter. You should definitely use a ketchup bottle, funnel, or baggy with the corner cut out. Pouring from a measuring cup makes them really flat. They tasted just like the ones at the fair. Thanks for the recipe!

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
Wonderful! The fry bread was lovely, and very easy to make. I did mix it up with the toppings based on preference. My sister is a vegetarian so we just used refried beans, tomato, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. They were fun to eat and tasted great!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This turned out amazing! My entire family was very pleased and asked for me to make this again. I did modify the recipe a tad. I used a little over half of the sugar. I did a combo of light brown and white sugar. I used the regular soy sauce, although others claim that it is too salty, I thought it was perfect. When you are making the sauce on the stove top it will taste VERY salty, but don't worry it cooks right down in the oven. We also bacon wrapped our chicken breasts (I would highly recommend doing this). Then, dumped all of the sauce on the chicken in a disposable aluminum pan. Cooked at 375 for 40 minutes. Came out juicy and very flavorful!
