Dairy Free Version: Easiest, Most Delicious Meringue Buttercream

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
This recipe is my favorite that I've ever found on this website. It is incredible! If I could give it 10 stars I would. I love the texture of the frosting along with the taste and it has this glossy look to it that is so professional.

Vietnamese Salad Rolls

Yum yum yummy! These take a little practice to get good at. The rice wrapper is a bit tricky, but they are always delicious no matter how beat up they look ;).

Peanut Butter Playdough

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I love peanut butter playdough. Even my husband and I like to eat it and it's such a fun thing to serve up when you have visiting little ones! I used it as a fondant to decorate the top of a cake for my nephew.

I will never buy premade marzipan again. This tastes so much better and you get so much more product.

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
I added lemon juice to the cake batter like one reviewer suggested but the cake just wasn't that lemony. It was also kind of dense even though I used cake flour. I think I'll try to find a different recipe.

Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse (Maracuja)

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
OH SOOO YUMMY! I served this after an Asian inspired meal and it was a slice of tropical heaven! I served it with caramelized bananas and a freshly baked madeleine. I used 6 passion fruits and processed them in my food processor after straining, I added the juice of 1 meyer lemon to make sure there was enough juice. It was perfect!

Claire's Yummy Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
Just an ok recipe for crepes. The batter is too thick to make an appropriately thin crepe in my opinion. Also you should double the recipe because the first couple crepes are always throw aways. Use a non-stick skillet and no oil or butter. Crepes should not be fried and should slide freely in the pan when ready to be flipped. Don't brown them either. You should have a "just cooked through" flexible crepe when they are done just right.

Rhinelander Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
To make this soup healthier without losing any flavor, cook the bacon alone in your soup pan till its very well done. If you stir often and cook over med heat it won't burn. All the fat pieces should be a dark golden color. Then drain all the fat out of the pan and add in the veggies. Add a bit of water or stock to deglaze the pan and help the veg cook. Then follow the recipe as written. Viola, no bacon fat, no extra oil.

Easy Chickpea Curry

Incredible...even my 9 year old loved it! I didn't have chickpeas so I used 2 more potatoes but other than that I followed the recipe to the T. It just doesn't get any better. The potatoes melt in your mouth...the spice is heaven for your senses!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I was making a different curry to compliment my rice so I just made the chicken part of this recipe. OH MY GOSH was it good! I halved the salt (I like salt), and substituted garam masalsa for the cayenne (my family doesn't like spicy-hot). It was perfect, juicy, and extremely delicious!
