Ham and Beans

I thought this recipe was really good. My husband and I get a pig each year and with all the good cuts of meat come a bunch of pork hocks we never know what to do with. I boiled some frozen hocks first and then cubed the meat and simmered that with canned Northern beans for 1.5 hrs. I used slightly more cayenne than called for as we prefer things spicy and used 1/4-1/3 cup brown sugar as others suggested. Very good, would definitely make again!
