To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Nom Nom Nom Nom Goodness. I got 9 Muffins, not sure if it was because I didn't measure the Flour exactly or if I added some of the drippings from the defrosted fruit. Oh I used Strawberries because my grocery didn't have any Blueberries. Didn't do the topping because I didn't feel like it But it was still some yummy goodness.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
It has great potential. Substituted Vegetable Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar. Added zest of the lime, 2 cloves of Garlic, 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper, Bandania/Shadon Bennie (Cilantro), Soy Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce. Marinated for about 24hours. I also broiled it on a sheet without the skewers. Next time I'll save the marinade and brush the chicken while it is broiling so it doesn't dry out. Love a lot of flavor to my food and couldn't bear having to waste another recipe, so I added extras just in case. Served with Roasted Veggies (Zucchini, Green Pepper, Red Onion), with some of the spices from the marinade and Teriyaki Sauce. Also Hot Potato and Perfect Rice. Adding some chili powder in both rice and potato for extra flavor. Also added some Pineapple chunks for some sweetness right from the can to the plate.

So something is missing from this. I can't figure it out. It's barely edible.

Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
So my boyfriend just proclaimed this was the best thing I've ever made. This sandwich is really good, I have never tasted a real philly sandwich so it does not matter to me the taste that it's supposed to be. This is great the way it is. But I just needed to add some of the suggestions that I read from all the reviews, to make sure it had optimum flavour. I used top round beef. I didn't use Hoagie rolls, because I think it is a US product. So I used our local sesame rolls. Had the meat defrosting, and left it slightly frozen so that it would be easier to slice. I didn't use the exact amounts of the veggies. Added tinned mushrooms to the veggie mix. Tinned pineapple to the finished sandwich. I added 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes while it marinated, which was for over 6 hours, plus a bit more while cooking the beef. Also added white pepper while the beef cooked. I added 1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce. I used some mayonnaise and 3 cloves of garlic on the bread. Just put the sandwiches in the oven in a 500 degree oven for 3 minutes to melt the cheddar cheese, which was grated and just a bit.

Spicy Chicken Breasts

I did not care for this recipe, there is no taste, and no heat what so ever. I'll never attempt it again.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I expected to get a more of a carrot taste, but I guess carrots taste more like carrots when raw. I halved the recipe and added more vanilla, cinnamon and extra nutmeg as some reviewers suggested. And left out the nuts. But I should have also substituted applesauce. The cake is a bit greasy and the frosting too sweet, even though i lessened the confectioner's sugar.

Honey Oatmeal Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
I attempted to make this recipe recently, and it did not rise. And it was really heavy and not appealing to eat at all. I'm not sure what I could have done wrong, but I followed the recipe exactly.
