The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I have been baking for about 20 some years and making sugar cookies have always been a favorite of mine. The Granny B cookies have been something I have always wanted to be able to make myself. I recently tried another sugar cookie recipe that made a wet sticky dough and then ended up tasting like baking soda and flour. These are FABULOUS, they make a nice firm dough that rolls out perfectly with just minimal flour dusting the counter, if you used wax or parchment paper it would be even better. I baked for about 5 minutes and they came out perfection. not too sweet and light and buttery. Soooooo good. This will be the only recipe I use ever again.

Fresh Semolina and Egg Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
LOVE this recipe. I wanted lasagna tonight and can't handle store bought premade noodles. I usually make my own, but started looking around for a good recipe. most pastas are easy to make this was no different, but the difference was the ease of working with it after it was ready. I usually have alot of issues when using my pasta roller (I have a hand crank one), with this one it was perfection. I did up a lasagna and then cut the rest into fettucini, it was YUMM! first time I have worked with semolina too! this recipe will be my go to pasta recipe for sure!

Super Bowl Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
I followed this recipe exactly (minus the egg wash, cuz I didnt want to mess with the egg) and LOOOOVVVVE IT !! I used it the other day for bread bowls and it was greatI I let it run the full cycle including the rise in the BM and so they didnt rise as well as I would have liked when I shaped them. I just bought a baguette pan and used this to make 3 baguettes and they are to die for! This time I only let the BM knead the dough then I cut it into three pieces (for my baguettes) then put it in a warm oven with a bowl of boiling water to proof for 30 minutes. They raised perfectly. I have 3 BEAUTIFUL baguettes with a nice crust and soft and moist on the inside with lots of flavor. I used challenge taste of tuscany butter so it has garlic and seasonings and it adds lots of good flavor as well. I will recomment this recipe to anyone.

Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
Loved the recipe. decided I wanted something sweet and tangy to go with my hot wings and started looking for a simple sweet and sour cabbage recipe. I used green cabbage since it is what I had. and I melted the butter and brown sugar in the pan then added my cabbage and then poured in the vinegar. I didnt like the idea of boiling it. It turned out fabulous I could just sit with a fork and eat just cabbage!

Emily's Famous Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
This was really good! I started searching looking for a recipe with potatoes and spinach and found this. I used russet potatoes, dried herbs and frozen spinach, that's what I had. It was sooo yummy tho! I am embarrassed to say I ate half the pan and would happily eat the other half if that wasn't just obscene. I will definately make this again.

Tangy Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Well Mine isnt even cooked yet, but the sauce is so good, I could just go eat it with a spoon! I can think of a dozen other things the sauce would be good for. right now I wish I had french fries to dip in it. I used what honey I had which was prob only about 1/8 cup, but it is a really good local echinacea wildflower and added some great flavor! will definately use this recipe again.

This was fantabulous! we added carrots to ours we just precooked them in the wok then we did our sauce, and cooked our chicken last. I used rice wine vinegar instead of white since its asian and I don't have white. we ate on some steamed jasmine brown rice. this was the best GT chicken I have ever had. We will definately be using this alot!!!

Curry-Style Chicken and Spinach

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I didn't use your recipe exact, but was looking to use up some frozen spinach I had in my fridge and some cooked and separated chicken meat and couldnt figure anything out. your recipe was a great inspiration, I cut up half an onion and 3 large garlic cloves, and about a tbsp of fresh ginger and cooked them down in butter, with red pepper flakes, added the spinach and chicken along with salt and cooked for a bit, then added some sourcream as someone else who had no cream recommended. I also used curry powder instead of the other spices, then added a can of coconut milk, and about a 1/4 of honey, a squirt of lemon juice and lime juice, it tastes amazing! thanks for your inspiration!!!

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
I decided to try this only because the reviews raved about it. I had my reservations about the feta, but OMG! I loved this stuff. My hubby is not a salsa or Guac fan. I made this and gave him a try before I put it in the fridge to sit for a couple hours. After that bite it sat for no more than 5 minutes before we ate the whole batch. I shared this with my mom and her husband and they raved about it as well!
