Manhattan Style Clam Chowder
I agree with others - way too tomatoee. My hubby used only half of the tomatoes, added shrimp stock, and more celery. For those who love tomatoes, this soup is perfect.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup
I used stewing meat, but browned it first, used 1 cup of barley, about 14 oz. extra water, and about 5 heaping tablespoons of low-sodium beef bouillon. Also used chopped tomatoes in juice, but next time, I'll only use 14 oz. (for my taste). After browning meat and carrots, celery, and onion were sauted, I threw the works in the crock pot. It was excellent. My husband and I ate more than our share ! Will be making this a lot.

Oriental Shrimp Noodle Soup
We used homemade shrimp broth and a pound of shrimp. Also used Kluski noodles instead of vermicelli and added snow peas about 3 minutes before serving (add to your taste). Excellent, will most definitely make it again.
