Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
doubled the rhubarb (at least) and did not use strawberries in the glaze. Very very good.

Korean BBQ Beef (Pul-Kogi)

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
This is the Korean BBQ recipe to end all Korean BBQ recipes. It is absolutely delicious. I used a small Asian pear,(I have a tree in my yard-I love that tree) grated, and followed all else exactly. I am never going back.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I used sliced nectarines and plums, did not peel them; it came out beautiful and delicious! It forms a buttery, chewy crust. It was very quick and easy :)

Chewy Chocolate Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2011
Made as is, and yes, the cookies came out very flattened-but they tasted very rich and chocolaty and was wonderful fresh out of the oven.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This was quite good! I too, used grated ginger and garlic since I didn't want to work too hard trying to find the paste. I put in Greek yogurt, and...don't hate me..a teensy bit of worcestershire sauce..Parsley because forgot to buy cilantro. I will make this again.

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Best cheesecake ice cream I have ever had-I will puree the blueberry mixture next time, as another user commented, they do turn in to icy little orbs if left intact. A little fussy as far as prep work is concerned, with all the layers; good thing it was a no-cook base. I will try to cut the recipe down a bit too, it makes more than can fit in my ice cream freezer in one shot, and the freezer can't do a second batch without having to be re-frozen. But taste was very good!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Delicious! I used grated fresh ginger and garlic instead of the onion and ginger powder. Marinated pounded boneless skinless chicken breasts. It was wonderful cooked on the grill.

This is a stew that my husband loved! I only used one pepper and just a handful of cilantro, but added some cayenne pepper.

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
It was ok, uninteresting though. It was lacking in contrast of flavors somehow, a mild salad with a sweet dressing..I have had better salads most definitely.

Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
After tasting this I thought it had waay too much mayo in it, so I kept adding more macaroni..I ended up using the whole box! I added another can of tuna to compensate for the volume. I also only used about 1/2 the garlic powder and mustard. It came out quite good!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Delicious! Yes, a teensy bit dry, but better than a boxed cake any day. It has a fine crumb and rich buttery flavor; a very nicely textured cake.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
Easy and tasty-Just perfect when you want comfort food with minimal effort. I did add onions and boiled the kielbasa first. Oh-and a little chicken broth at the end because I felt it was getting too dry. It was yummy!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
This is a light, airy, fluffy frosting-and a very good one at that! Is does make ALOT of frosting; I think I could have easily covered 2 cakes. (8" round 2-layer cakes)

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This bread came out dense and floury-tasting..and a bit dry..Improved a bit the next day: I thought it got more moist and buttery. Not bad, but have had more success with other recipes.

Peanut Butter Chews

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I liked these! BUT, I think better if you only used chocolate chips, not butterscotch-one too many flavor competing here..and I made mine a little too big..I should drop them by smaller spoonfuls next time because they are pretty rich and can give your jaws a workout. Very chewy/candy-like and very good!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
This was a pleasantly flavorful change to the plain burger..I used 90% fat ground beef but next time will try a bit more fat content to help keep it juicier-my husband loved this!

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
I used 1/2 the sugar but thought this was still too sweet for my taste..I will also cut down on the mustard a little as well. A nice, plain macaroni salad is what I like, and with small changes I think this would be it!
