Light Pesto

Reviewed: May 24, 2010
I used a combination of pine nuts and Brazil nuts and also added 2 sundried tomatoes. The taste was outstanding. I love how light and fresh this pesto is. I will never go back to the oily stuff again! Thanks!

I'll certainly be making these often! Very easy and delicious! I used honey rather than molasses- perfection! Thanks for the recipe!

German Style Muesli

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I know this is a recipe from stevia... but I live in Germany and the recipe they are trying to create is not so sweet. Add a bit of honey or Agave nectar for sweetness as needed. Also, be sure to add 2 Tbsp. pumpkin seeds to make it really authentic!

I will certainly make these again. I seasoned with salt, cumin, garlic powder, and chili powder. Taking kale south of the border!

Best of Everything Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Delicious... but for all of the "extra" stuff in this recipe, it still tasted almost exactly like the veggie burger recipe I usually follow.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
The best recipe is one that can easily be altered and changed to meet the needs of all cooks- this is that recipe! I combined other reviewers suggestions to add an extra nutritional punch to these delicious bars. Here are the changes I successfully made: - grease the pan with coconut oil (it's healthier and adds a very nice subtle flavor) - 1/2 c. brown sugar - 1/4 c. wheat germ - 1/4 c. ground flax seed - whole wheat flour - added about a handful of chopped walnuts - half raisins half cranberries - 1/4 c. apple sauce - 1/4 c. oil Enjoy creating your own take on this fantastic recipe!

Unsloppy Joes

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
Delicious! Lightly mashing the beans gave the mixture a nice meaty texture. I also added 1T Thai chili sauce to give a little sweet to the spicy. I will definitely make this again.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2009
I live in a country where some of the ingredients are hard to find... but the recipe sounded so good, I was determined to try it. I substituted cooked dry navy beans for black beans. Rather than use bread crumbs, I blended 1/2 cup of oats and 2 slices of toasted bread in the food processor. I didn't add as much spice as suggested, but will next time. My meat-eating boyfriend savored them as much as I did! Thanks!
