I have had this recipe in my recipe box for about a year now and have been skeptical to actually make it as I couldn't believe just those two ingredients could make a dish as amazing as the reviews indicated. I was completely wrong! I seasoned a 4 pound chuck roast with kosher salt, course black pepper, onion powder and stuffed about eight slits in both sides of the roast with minced garlic. I cooked on high for two hours and on low for another four hours. It was delicious! Tender, juicy and a fantastic flavor that had just enough kick for my husband, two teenage sons and my three year old. We ate it on french rolls with melted, smoked provolone and mayo. I was going to make quesadillas with the leftovers as one reviewer suggested, but when I came home from work the next evening all of the "leftovers" had been devoured by the boys! Will definitely make this over and over again.
