Southern-Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
Wow! I made these for dinner last night, using the recipe exactly as written. My family devoured these pork chops! They have such a wonderful flavor, and they are really easy to make. This recipe will certainly be in my regular dinner rotation - no more Shake-n-Bake pork chops in my house! Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!

Honey Oatmeal Bread II

Really delicious! I didn't make a single change to this recipe. I'm not a very experienced bread-maker, but this came out just perfect. My family loved this, and I will definitely be making this often!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
These really are the BEST big, fat chewy chocolate chip cookies! I followed the recipe exactly, and I wouldn't change a single thing! I do have to thank the other reviewers for the tips - if you don't refridgerate this dough until it's very stiff, the cookies will spread out too much and get very thin. They do stay really chewy, even then. My first pan spread out that way, but while the first pan was baking, I put the dough in the freezer, and the next pan came out just perfect! These taste just like the cookies from the Mrs. Fields shop at our local mall. I've got a double-batch of dough chilling now to bake for the Memorial Day weekend, and I'd bet not a single cookie makes it back from our camping trip!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I have always had trouble with baby back ribs turning out tough. I made them this way, with my sister's homemade BBQ sauce, and was stunned at how they just fell off the bone! Thank you so much!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
This dish has excellent flavor, but as other reviewers mention, it does need more ham. Also, I had trouble getting the potatoes cooked all the way through. Next time I think I will use regular Idaho potatoes and slice them in thin slices rather than cubes. Overall, very good - real comfort food!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins

I also took the advice of other reviewers, using regular milk and 3/4 c sugar, and added the 1/2 c sour cream. My boys devoured these! They are just fantastic! Thanks for the awesome recipe - I'm sure my family will insist that I make these often!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This was a real hit in my house! My family isn't big on so much onion, so I did make a few tweaks for our tastes. I cut back the chopped onion to only about half an onion. When I sauteed the onion, I added a little extra butter, 3 cloves of minced garlic and 8 ounces of fresh sliced mushrooms, and simmered this all in the wine a bit before adding it to the crockpot. As others mentioned, I also added an extra cup of carrots, and used 2 cups of wine and 1 cup of water with the onion soup mix - this gave me just the right amount of liquid. My family devoured this with hot buttered rolls, and can't wait to take out the leftovers tonight!
