About this Cook
I am 33 years old stay at home mom. I have an 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son. Our family enjoys camping and biking and my kids love to cook with me. Cooking is my stress relief and my passion. The harder the recipe the funner it is.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything. I love to cook italian food because my hubby is italian and love to cook that for him and his family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ever since I was a little girl I would follow my mother around the kitchen when she cooked. She instilled in me the passion to cook and the joy that it brings to provide for your family in that way. I'm so glad I was able to continue to cook with my mother up until she passed, 7 months ago, as I now have some family recipes that were never printed in my head.
My cooking triumphs
I'm not much of a baker but love to try new things. I made my hubby a Tiramisu for his birthday. It took half a day but was well worth it. Also, I have made fudge which was lots of fun and really good.
My cooking tragedies
I really don't have any...I feel like you live and learn from all your mistakes.

Hummus and Prosciutto Wrap
What a healthy and filling sandwich. You could also use roast beef or even turkey or ham for the meat. I would also use fresh spinach instead of lettuce for the added health beneifts.

Extra Easy Hummus
I made this for a get together about a month ago and everybody loved this. This was the first time to make hummus without the tahini. I'm making it again as my hubby really liked it. This time I'm going to add some roasted red peppers. It would be a great addition to a wrap or sandwich. UPDATE: I MADE THIS WITH ROASTED RED PEPPERS AND IT WAS AMAZING!!! I LOVE THIS STUFF
