Simple Whole Wheat Bread
I really liked this recipe! I have been looking for a handmade bread recipe (I like to knead dough!) that would yield a soft but yeasty tasting bread and this is it! I made three minor adjustments, already recommended by many, adding some vital wheat gluten, about 5 tbsp, olive oil instead of butter and switched up the ratio of white to ww flour, 5 cups of ww and 3 cups of white. Other than that I followed the directions of the original recipe. It is very yummy, was an easy to work with dough, it cooperated with two good rises, even though my yeast had to have been not so fresh.
I can see modifying this recipe even further, quite easily, adding flax or chia seeds, etc. This is a very easy to make, follow and enjoy bread recipe!
