Caramel Apple Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
My family adored this pie -I made it with a crust from this site as well; pie crust IV, with half whole wheat flour. I tripled the recipe and made it in a 9 x 13 pan, turned out wonderful! Sweet caramel with tart apples and buttery crust, throw in the cranberries for extra flavor. Excellent!

Yogurt Almond Ice Cream

I made this with organic whole milk yogurt and half and half, and added cocoa powder - about 2 or 3 tablespoons and a little grated dark chocolate. Yummmmmmm!

Roasted and Curried Butternut Squash Soup

WOnderful, light and filling. I think it needs more spice than the recipe calls for, so when I make it again, I will beef up the curry and cinnamon. Or maybe try it with garam masala.....mmmmmm!

Truly awesome and a huge hit at Thanksgiving. I did the variation with all brown sugar this year. Excellent, very rich.

great, easy. I used chocolate pudding and a chocolate cake mix a couple of times (try adding some chocolate chips for extra pizazz) That was reaaaallly rich and yummy!

New Orleans Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Don't count the calories, just make it! I added some grated unsweetened chocolate as I prefer a dark chocolate, less sweet taste. I am making two tomorrow!

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Yummy, and very quick. I have made it twice, once added some crumbled bacon, once some chopped up ham. Both are delicious. However, the original recipe was a little bland for me. I use butter and olive oil rather than margarine, and added about a tablespoon of herbes de provence, plus sea salt and coarse ground black pepper. Very delicious and sets off the leeks nicely.
