Farm Share Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2013
The flavors were fine, but 2 bunches of chard was far too much filling for one crust. Also, a crucial step is missing in the directions. The chard absolutely MUST be sauteed and drained before adding to the egg mixture. Otherwise you end up with an enormous pile of leafy material that will never fit in the crust. The filling still seeped out all over, so I'd also recommend baking this over a sheet pan. The cooking times were accurate. I don't think I'll be returning to this recipe.

Pretty easy and tasty! I was surprised, since this is my first time making baba ghanoush.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
What a great pie! I was really hoping to find one that didn't involve a jello packet, and this is it! It's a little more labor intensive to make, but the flavor is pure strawberry. My husband gave it two thumbs up as well!

Great Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
These were not nearly as flavorful as I had hoped they'd be. Still, they were easier than many of the other stuffed baked potato recipes I've seen. Next time I'll jazz them up with some bacon and green onions.

Cucumber-Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
I made this for my sister-in-law's luau themed baby shower, and it was a huge hit! It's very addictive, with a little spice and a lot of tangy sweetness, and very refreshing. I'm planning on making it again for a cookout very soon!

Apple Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
I made these for my daughter's first birthday, and they were a big hit! My picky eater son even liked them very much. Not too sweet, no frosting to get all over the place, and no chocolate and nuts for little ones who might have food allergies. I will definitely be making these again someday!

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
This is my favorite way to cook corned beef now. I've made it twice since St. Patrick's Day. My crockpot isn't quite as big so I can't fit everything into it. I left out the cabbage, since it only got very greasy from floating on top the first time I made it. If we want to eat cabbage with it in the future, I think I'll cook it separately on the stove. Other than that, great recipe! Falling apart tender corned beef, the leftovers are perfect for hash!

So easy and delicious and just the right amount of lemony flavor! It's a great recipe for last minute dinner ideas, since all the ingredients are easy to find in the pantry.

Sweet Potato Biscuits

I don't think I would make these again. They were pretty flat and very salty. I was disappointed because they looked so promising.

Potato Leek Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
I think this is a great recipe! The leeks were very flavorful. The bacon is best when the soup is first made. I have yet to find a soup recipe where the bacon doesn't get soggy after a while.

Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
This recipe was too bland for me. The gravy didn't come together properly for me either. I'm not sure what the problem was. The technique for cooking the steaks was fine, but they were still tough and we resorted to steak sauce to give them some semblance of flavor.

Berdean's Cube Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
Excellent recipe! It turned tough cube steak into a tender flavorful dish similar to pot roast. I seasoned my flour with cajun seasoning and added some worcestershire sauce to the broth.
