PERFECT! Made some today and they are so so so beautiful and delicious. I'm impressed and so is everybody. i halved the recipe and left dough in the fridge for 48hrs or longer as I realized I didn't have enough flour for rolling the dough and oil for frying ;p Love how 'light' they are, hollow inside and crunchy on the outside. words dont do these gems justice. I'm so thankful for this recipe. until my hubby and i can afford a trip to new orleans, we'll make these often ;) thank you thank you!!!

Classic Butter Cookies II

not great. just baked some, intended to surprise my husband on special day but now i had to just crush the cookies for cheesecake base (along with butter, sugar, oats and cinnamon to make up for the lack of flavor). very disappointed. maybe it's meant to go with icing or jams. w/o additional flavor or sweetness these are just flour.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

very, very tasty bread. love the crunchy crust outside, and that moist, flavorful inside. this is surprisingly easy to make (even when you're hungover ;p it'll still come out perfect). oh yea, i added some honey to the batter, drizzled some canola oil on top before baking. oven-fresh bread on a lazy day ;) sweet~

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake

i always add coffee to my chocolate cake but have never added so much! This is amazing! With that heaping one cup of coffee (i used hot coffee), this cake turns out freaking moist and it literally melts in your mouth. Served it to a head chef, he was very impressed with the texture and the taste. it's not too sweet but sweet enough to go without frosting (he asked all sort of questions about the recipe ;p). everyone loved it plain. i can't thank you enough for such a great recipe :) Chocolate + Coffee, you'll never get it wrong. Bravo!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

To DIE for! This is my 1st NY cheesecake and it was a complete success!!! Got heaps of praises from family members, neighbors and those who ate it. I followed everything to the dot except the crust, I used Oreo base instead as I personally love Oreo so much that I just wanna include it in ;p Well, I suppose the steaming water bath helped too. No cracks, it didn't sink. I left it in the oven without opening to check or anything. It was PERFECT when it came out! Thanks so much for this lovely recipe. Good recipe is hard to come by, this is definitely a keeper for the rest of my life!

Bread Pudding II

Made it for lunch and everyone loved it. My husband had 2 helpings! He told me not to make it at first but when it came out from the oven, even he couldn't resist ;p Thanks for such a beautiful recipe. Simply made it because of the good reviews it has. I'm not a big fan of bread pudding but undoubtedly, it was great! Used brown sugar instead of white. I didn't have raisins so I went without any toppings.

Strawberry Cheesecake

It was beautiful! And very tasty! I made it for a gathering at home and everyone loved it! My hubby is a huge fan of cheesecake and is very picky as well and he loved it!!! My brother in law too! (He asked which bakery did I buy it from ;p) I'm so impressed. This is my 1st cheesecake and it came out so good. I followed the recipe except I cut down the cream cheese to 2 packages, added vanilla in both cheese mixture and base. Used unsweetened strawberries and added sugar myself so that I have a control of the sweetness (I don't want it to be too sweet). The lemon juice was great! I added some in the strawberry mixture and of course the cheese mixture too. I can't say enough good things about this recipe! If you're a cheesecake lover, don't miss it!!! Highly recommended ;)

Banana Crumb Muffins

Beautiful! This recipe lives up to all its wonderful reviews! I used sunflower oil instead of 1/3 cup butter. Added vanilla and cinnamon in the muffin mixture. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose and added a tbsp of milk to make sure its not too dry. I too substituted white sugar with brown sugar and it tasted great! 1st time making muffins and I'm enjoying every part of it. Oh yea, I added another banana to the recipe just to get more flavor. The only problem is, I used big muffin cups and I only managed to make 5 muffins which is not enough for everyone :/

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

It was not so impressive. It didn't give me the taste I expected. A healthy choice though. Will do a bit of experiment on this recipe with some adjustments to suit my taste. Thanks.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Followed the recipe as it is with another extra 50g of cream cheese. I served it as the frosting on crazy cake. My family and I find it a bit too sweet though. Will cut down on the sugar next time. Anyway, I believe it's a good one with less sugar.

English Trifle to Die For

The GREATEST dessert ever!!! I'm so thankful, so so so impressed! Even my husband who is not a big fan of dessert, had 2 helpings!! (after a big dinner of pot roast and other stuff) This is my 1st ever English Trifle and it turned out perfect! I used strawberry jam instead, added strawberries, blueberries, kiwi fruits and peaches! The colors were beautiful :) Full of sunshine! The home made custard was impressive! Will never buy the custard mix from shops again. I too doubled the portion for custard. It was barely enough. Everything was great! Except i didn't have a trifle bowl which was a waste, couldn't see the color contrast. I'll always use this recipe for English Trifle. It's the best! The most important thing is, this pleases my picky eater husband ;) Thanks so much!

Pot Roast in Foil

My husband and I made this for the family today and it turned out great! I doubled the portion for mushroom soup and the gravy turned out just enough. Added potatoes, carrots and mushrooms to the gravy. Chopped up 1 1/2 onions, crushed like the whole garlic to mix in the gravy too. Will definitely make this again, it's easy, convenient and tasty! My 1st time cooking beef and it is now a family's fav! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Crazy Cake

Nice one ;) The ingredients seemed a little weird to me at first but I still went ahead with them and it ended up great! I'm impressed, so is my family. Thanks for the recipe, other than adding a little bit more cocoa powder, I didn't change a thing. It's good with cream cheese frosting too!
