Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
So delicious! I've never made mayo in my whole life and it was so simple! I did add garlic, paprika, and 1 tablespoon of water (to assist with the emulsion) for additional punch. It was FANTASTIC! You have to add the oil super slow until it starts coming together then you can add it a bit faster. Added it to this potato salad recipe: Allrecipes' Red Skinned Potato Salad. So delicious, my husband loved it! :-) Thanks rfmommy!

Blueberry Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
Mmm...this was great! I made this last night as a dessert for my boyfriend and he loves it! Next time, I am going to pour the gelatin mixture into a pre-made graham cracker crust...it would be so great in that to serve as a blueberry salad pie!

Fresh Pear Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
This was so very yummy...I was actually pretty lazy, I got the frozen pastry pie shells from my local supermarket, I purchased the canned pre-sliced pears in light syrup. I bought two of the larger cans and drained them. I also bought gruyere cheese, which I grated and rolled into the pie crust. I also topped crust with the grated cheese as well. It came out very nice, my boyfriend loved it! Ooh...and I left out the lemon, not huge fan of lemon in general. The pie was not sweet, but I wasn't overly generous with the sprinkling of the sugar/flour mixture.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
This was really good! Great lasagna is definitely all about the sauce! I made it from scratch, though I didn't use the recipe that was provided in this recipe. This was a great base for me. I didn't think I would enjoy the cottage cheese, but I did run it through my food processor with shredded mozzarella versus parmesan. My husband loved it!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I love it! I've never made scones before and these were really easy to make! It did take me a bit longer...about 25 minutes to cook through, but that was my fault as they were maybe about an inch versus 3/4 of an inch thick. I made mine with fresh strawberries and it was sooooo yummy! I also made some clotted cream on the side :-) I made them last night and took one to work today and it was still delicious!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
This was great! I've never made cheesecake before, and decided to give it a shot for Thanksgiving...I know so daring :-) I changed this recipe up a bit, for the crust I did a ginger snap crust (1.5 cups of crumbled gingersnaps, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter) and after I baked it and waited for it to cool I made pumpkin chiffon. I took off about 1/2 of the top layer of the cheesecake and layered on the pumpkin chiffon. This made it a double layered cake, half cheesecake and half pumpkin chiffon. The pumpkin chiffon is very light and frothy so it was a nice compliment to the heaviness of the cheesecake. It was so yummy, I'm making it for work tomorrow!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
This recipe was great! The only bit I changed was adding a bit more flour to make it thicker. Other than that, yum! My husband loves this soup!
