Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This pie is the BEST!! I'm not a pie person, but I do love pecan pie. I had never made a pie before, but I tried this for my first pie. My first one came out a little dark, but tasted so good I tried again but covered it loosely with foil after about 15 min. That is the only thing I did different. I took the pie to work, and two of my co-workers told me it was the best pie they ever had, and offered to pay me to make them each one, ha. Everyone loved it, and this is the only recipe I will use. YUM!!!!

These rolls turned out beautiful and tasted great! I made them exactly as written (using butter flavored shortening), and I wish I would have taken a picture of them, they were so perfect! Thanks for the recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
These were very good! I couldn't find pitted dates, so bought some nice Medjool (?) dates, sliced them open, removed the pit, and stuffed with goat cheese (I don't care for blue cheese). I wrapped them with applewood smoked bacon, secured with a toothpick, and then put them on a rack in a pan and baked. Mine took longer than the 40 minutes...more like 45 I think, but ovens vary, so watch them carefully. I did not have any problem with cheese leaking out like some others mentioned. I tried one soon after removing them from the oven, but I actually liked them better after they had cooled. I even tried one straight out of the fridge this morning, and it was good! I will definitely make these again. Thanks!

I was very surprised at how good this was! I made it exactly as the recipe stated, and it was perfect. I will never buy French dressing at the store again!

Sloppy Joes II

I loved this recipe, and will be making them this way from now on. Yum! I did leave out the green pepper since I don't like them, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Very good recipe...thank you!

Honey Oatmeal Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Wow! This is delicious! I made it exactly as the recipe noted, however, did have to add more flour as I went, and also used 1 cup of wheat flour in place of one of the cups of bread flour. It came out beautiful, and tastes wonderful! Thank you so much!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I've made these rolls twice this week, once as a "practice run" since I've never made rolls before, and they turned out so good, I took them to my folks house for Thanksgiving yesterday. Everyone loved them, and I will use this recipe over and over again! I didn't change a thing, other than making them the old fashioned way since I don't have a bread machine. I was so happy with them, I took a picture which I am uploading. Thanks for this yummy recipe!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I've been making all my own bread for the last few months, and this is the recipe I use every single time. I love this bread, and so do my family & friends. I use the recipe as is, and don't change a thing.

Pasta Carbonara

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
This was delicious! The only changes I made were to use garlic powder instead of garlic (only because I was out of fresh garlic!), and I drained all of the bacon grease. I liked it very much as is, but you could easily add peas, or chicken, etc.
