Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2008
I was VERY skeptical of this recipe. The only reason I chose it was I needed a slow cooker meal and my husband was tired of beef roast (and loves pork chops). I made it exactly as the directions stated. Even while it was cooking I was thinking...this is not going to be good. BUT, it was awesome. And I am no fan to pork chops. I think letting it cook the entire 8 hours is what takes it from dry meat and chicken soup to falling apart tender in gravy. It's easy, different, and a keeper for sure.

Betsy's Poppy Seed Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
We really liked this. I changed it just a bit. I used cream of celery insead of cream of mushroom. I boiled chicken, deboned, cooked rice (1 cup) in the stock and then mixed all ingredients together. I also added some salt, garlic salt, and onion powder (it may have been a little bland without). I just kept tasting it until it was right. My husband liked it very much. It's nice because I doubled the recipe and froze one for later.

Sour Cream Raisin Pie V

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2006
I must of done something wrong because this really wasn't good. I made it for my husband's birthday because always has been his favorite. My father-in-law thought that I bought it and said it was awful! He was so emberassed when he found out I made it! I feel like I followed the recipe exactly...not sure what went wrong. Just didn't taste good.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
We thought this was really good! I shredded the chicken about an hour before eating. It reminded me of a chicken sandwich from a local bbq restaurant. Will make again and was super easy.

Angel Chicken Pasta

This was good but not wonderful. I didn't add all the soup mix for fear it would be too salty. It just needed something I can't put my finger on...

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
Pretty good stuff...the only change I made was cream of potato soup instead of mushroom and I added some milk. Even my VERY picky toddler ate this up. Worth making and I will make again.

Anniversary Chicken I

I was surprised at how good this was. Somehow it tasted like ham. My husband even thought that is what I was making by the smell. It was different but really good.

Donna's Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2001
This was okay. I know if I put it in the break room at work and all of it doesn't get eaten, that's a problem. It's good if you need to get rid of zucchini in the garden. Wouldn't make it again.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2001
This was good but I thought it needed something...I would definitely make it again but not put in as much refried beans. It could be because I used fat free refried beans. I'll have to try it again. I was expecting too much.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2001
I got this recipe passed down from my husband's family. I use red-wine vinegar and peanuts, instead of sunflower seeds. I use light miracle whip and no bacon to be some-what healthly. Everyone loves it and I given out the recipe several times.
