Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
its 5 stars with my additions... first, 86 the eggs and the velveeta. second: 1.5 cups sharp cheddar, 1.5 cups white cheese mix (mozzerella, provolone, monteray), 1.5 cups mozz and cheese mix. popped in the oven for 17 min, pulled out and cracked black pepper, added topping portion of cheese with breadcurumbs, and no butter. and after another 17 min, broiled for 2 min. boyfriend will thank you.

Kielbasa Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
the bf snubbed it d/t the kilebasa, but my fam LUUURRRVED it. i put garlic, green peppers and onions in it and its on repeat request; which in my books, makes it a winner! next time i may chop up the sausage a little more because i found it a little sausagehunkey. otherwise: win-ner!!

Cajun Appetizer Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
so i dont eat red meat but made then for a party and they were completely the first to go in no time! i made them with 1/2 cayane pepper and 1/2 chili powder just because thats whati had on hand, froze the meatballs a week before the party, cooked them, added in peach peserves/diana's spicy bbq sauce with some brown sugar addded (found the bbq sauce very vinegar-y) then i let them sit on low for 5 hours in the sauce which really let the flavour sink. great app and a great change from the ususal! thanks for posting

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
I made these MINI cupcakes instead! perfect size for this decadent treat! made the cookiedough from scratch (with no egg) used the one bowl choc. cake from this website as well as the buttercream frosting. baked at 325 for 12 mins, but i would go for 13 next time. i was so paranoid from all the other reviews that i had to throw a batch out that wasnt cooked enough. froze the cookie dough in 1.5tsp balls and it made about 42 MINI cupcakes. i also let them sit in the pan for 10mins after taking them out of the oven. I also found that they were a little "greasy" - could be that i sprayed the pan rather then use cupcake liners, but i let them settle in the fridge for 2 days, uniced, to dry them out and it worked to be the perfect consistancy to frost the day i served them. I dont know who was more pumped: me to try this brillant recipe out or my boyfriend's hockey team who got to eat them! thanks for sharing!

Weeknight Lasagne Toss

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
This is a great quick and easy crowd-pleaser. Definatly add the ricotta cheese to it, as well i like to add a little more garlic as well as oregano and basil to the sauce. Also, i find a nice touch is to sautee 1/2 an diced onion with the meat.

Split Pea Soup without Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I really found this to be a great, hearty soup. I cooked it for around an 1 1/2 hours and the peas really boiled down nicely. I also added 1/2 a diced onion (which boils down right into the soup) and Paprika spice. Its amazing how well the peas and paprika go together! great soup to have handy on those rainy days. Thanks for sharing!

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Awesome flavour and no trouble at all with these! i took the advice of adding a little cinnamon and it worked really nicely and VERY brownie tasting (i rolled them a little thicker too). Super cute idea to use them at a football party as i did, just some white stripes and laces and they were a huge hit!

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
1st time roast cooker here! Had to go in for a little longer for us, we like our meat a little more well done. I took the advice of a couple other reviews and cooked the roast on a bed of diced onion in a little bit of water, and cut little slits in the roast to insert some cloves of garlic, and seasoned with fresh cracked garlic pepper and salt on with the fat side up. My boyfriend LOVED IT!! Said it was "just good as his moms" - haha i'll take that compliment!
