This recipe is simply delicious!! I really wanted to make a fresh loaf of soft, fluffy white bread today. I halved the recipe and made 1 loaf, although I really should have made 2 because it is going on 3pm here and there's about a quarter of it left. I did not have any oil left after a doughnut frying adventure. So, I simply melted some butter and used that in its place. I also decreased the sugar, as suggested by other reviews to 2 tbs. I coated the loaf with butter twice before I baked it, and also twice after it came out of the oven! FANTASTIC...the flavor and texture are bang on perfect!! Thanks for sharing the recipe, it is now my go to white bread recipe!!
