Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
Excellent recipe! I took the advice of previous reviewers by ensuring that the cream cheese, butter, and eggs were at room temp before mixing. I added the eggs one at time, mixing well after each. I used 2 tsp of vanilla extract (I LOVE vanilla). I started off in a cold oven and baked at 325 degrees for 1hr and 20 min. The result is a dense cake with a deliciously rich flavor. This will be my go to recipe for a pound cake.

Waldorf Goat Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Very good salad. I added grilled chicken breast strips. It is essential that a great dressing is used. I prefer a homemade vinaigrette. I also think blue cheese crumbles give the salad more 'kick', than goat cheese.

Vanilla Glaze

I followed the recipe exactly, except I used 2 1/2 tbsp. Came out great as a topping for my Seven-Up cake.

Seven-Up® Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I followed the tips by previous reviewer Serenity and this cake was awesome. This was my first cake from scratch and I was very pleased with the texture and richness...like a pound cake. I used 1 tsp of Vanilla extract and 1 tsp of lemon extract. Next time I will omit the lemon extract, which is why I rated this only 4 stars instead of 5. I did not care for the lemon taste...but I love vanilla. Will make this cake again soon!

Chocolate Pudding Fudge Cake

Followed the recipe exactly, and cake was very tasty. The addition of sour cream kicked up the flavor several notches. Will definately make again.

Red Velvet Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
Great and easy recipe for a novice baker such as myself. The cake was moist and was a hit with everyone on Thanksgiving. I took the advice of previous reviewers and used 4 tbps of cocoa powder and tad bit more food coloring. I used store bought cream cheese icing and whipped it up (using a mixer) with a few drops of vanilla extract. Will definitely make again.
