This was the first time I made Biscotti's and this recipe was great. I did have to add about 1/3 more cup of flour to roll it and I added 3 teaspoons anise oil, but the flavor still was not to strong of a anise flavor. I also cut them when they came out of the oven, before they cooled to much. I will be experimenting with this recipe to try different flavors. They were easy to make. This will be my basic recipe for experimentation. Thanks so much for submitting this recipe. I am not Italian, I come from a German ancestory, but I have always wanted to make these, since I have gotten them at coffee shops. And my Mom's neighbor use to make Biscotti's for her, and since the neighbor has passed away and Mom does not get them from her neighbor any longer I thought I would make them for her. She thinks they are great.
