Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2013
There are so many variations of this on line. I had a roast prime rib over xmas about ten pounds plus, I cranked the oven with the beef inside cold to 500F. Once the temp bell went I turned it off and left it in the oven for 6 hrs. Then I turned the oven on to 500F again until the ready bell sang and pulled it out, covered with foil for 15 minutes and sliced. Middle was medium rare and ends were medium well. The best ever!! Oh I forgot to say this was 500F Convection Roast with gas oven.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2013
Great recipe but next time try brown sugar instead of white and rice wine instead of cider that IS Teriyaki! A tblsp of sesame oil is optional for more of an Asian flare.

Clam Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
As a chef this is a good dish as written but the potatoes should be par boiled as mentioned by another member. I would not cook the seafood for 45 minutes either. Cook until the clams and the muscles open. Throw out the ones that don't.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2013
I love this pie!!!! The key I think is pouring the sauce over the pie as soon as you are done bringing it to a simmer. Pour a litle then wait 2 minutes, pour some more and wait 2 minutes and so on until you have no more sauce then pop it in the oven. Most important, USE APPLE JUICE INSTEAD OF WATER. I have made it with Macs, Grannies, even Delicious and it was yummy each time. I know of none who has ever said it was just ok :-)

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2013
I tweeked it though based on comments, I did this instead; 4 tbsp conrstarch, 2 tbsp all purpose flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 5 cupsa fruit. Mix the dry ingredients then add the fruit and toss for several minutes. I made 4" sweet tarts and covered them with more pie dough (I used Best Ever Pie Crust II) This works great for any frozen fruit, raspberry, strawberry and blueberry. Trust me when I say we SOLD OUT everytime lol.
