Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Really good! I doubled the sauce and added some corn starch to thicken it up. Also I added about 15 peppercorns and 3 bay leaves. It was delicious!

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Very good! I made them pretty much as stated but I didn't have any pickled ginger so I used regular minced ginger. Also I didn't use the chili sauce. Maybe next time I will make some kind of dipping sauce to go with them like other people have mentioned. All in all it turned out well and was well received by my family!

Fried Rice I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Yummy! I used rice that I had made in the morning and let sit out for a while so it would dry out a little. This worked out well because then the rice didn't get mushy. Also I didn't use bacon but I can imagine that it would have been delicious. I will probably use more soy sauce next time but all in all I liked it!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
So yummy! I used half the dill because a few other people mentioned that they thought it was too much. Also I didn't have the pickle relish so I left it out. This turned out great!

Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
Very tasty! I used 3 cans of chicken broth because I was trying to stretch the soup farther as I was feeding several people. I roasted some carrots with the cauliflower and cut them up, then added them right before the soup was ready to be served. I also sauteed some celery along with the onions. This was a yummy soup. I served it with broccoli cheese cornbread from this site. It was a very satisfying dinner!

Coconut Curry Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2013
This was delicious! I did make a few changes according to what I had on hand. I added celery, sweet potatoes and onion (instead of onion powder) for more vegetables. Instead of mango chutney I had a mango that I cut up and simmered with sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger. I also used pinto beans instead of kidney beans. The last change I made was that I didn't put coconut milk right into the chili since not everyone in my house likes it. We just poured it into our own bowls before eating. I was really pleased with the way this recipe turned out!!! Thank you!!!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I'm a bread making newbie and this bread turned out so well! I used only whole wheat flour and added vital wheat gluten as others had suggested. I also used sugar instead of honey because I was running low on honey. It was delicious and my picky kids went crazy over it! I can't wait to make this again!

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
So yummy! I've made it twice. First using strawberry cream cheese, o.j. and cool whip as others had suggested. Then the second time I made it pretty close to the original recipe, I did add some cool whip to this batch as well though. Surprisingly the second batch was so much yummier! Both were well received but the original recipe is the best!
