Real Texas Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
The hubby is allergic to tomatoes and beans, so I was so happy to find this recipe and finally be able to make him real chili! We served with elbow macaroni and it was great. I would've liked maybe just a little more spice and a little more liquid, but that's easily adjustable. I also think it would be yummy with ground beef, so I think we will try that next time. Overall a great recipe!

These were delicious, cute and so simple to make. I did cut back slightly on the nutmeg. I will definitely make these again and probably often!

Very easy to make! The cake turned out moist and fudgy, almost a little too sweet for my tastes, but the guests loved it!

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I made mine without water chestnuts and with onion mix rather than vegetable dip, but it still came out delicious. I also doubled the spinach, which I think was a nice touch. I served with tore hamburger buns, which were surprisingly tasty with it.

Delicious! It was very hard to mix, but great results. Everyone seemed to like it, but did mention how rich the pie was.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Adorable! Easy enough to do (if you can figure out how to get them to stand up properly) and they were a big hit at the party I took them to.

Three Cheese Spaghetti Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
I made this last night. I think the only thing I changed was that I omitted the ricotta. It probably would've added to the pie, but I didn't have any. It was tasty, and I enjoyed eating it. But it wasn't spectacular and the time it took to make (while not overly long, longer than normal for me) means I probably won't make it again. I do think this would be a great recipe if you had kids though.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
My friend (who has very little cooking/baking experience) and I made these last night. They were very easy to make and they are so good! We baked our on parchement paper and the sugar/cinnamon coated bottoms turned out wonderful. I followed the other's tips of baking for exactly 8 minutes and letting them sit for exactly 1 minute on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack. We might have made our cookies a little small, since we got 57 out of the batch, but I think they're the pefect size! I definitely plan to make again!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
We made this last night. I wasn't expecting much, but surprisingly it did feel "smoother" than other tea we've made. It kind of reminded me of Chik-fil-a tea. Hubby likes his tea like syrup so he thought it didn't have enough sugar, but I thought it had a little too much for me. That's easy enough to change though.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

This was a very easy sauce to make and tasty on pizzas. I made one batch which lasted through 3 pizzas (store bought pizza crust). I froze the sauce after the first two and two months later it was still tasty.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
This was easy to make and gives a nice cookie that doesn't spread too much in the oven. The taste is light. I'm not much of a sugar cookie fan, so I'm not sure I like the taste too much, but it is definitely not bad and makes some cute cut cookies!
