Dijon Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Hold the Dijon! I wanted to give a new flavor to the salmon I had ready to cook and thought this looked amazing. I didn't have tarragon or onions, so I just put Dijon garlic and a little Cajun seasoning for some heat. I was overwhelmed by the dijon but I think it will be better next time with some changes for my taste. I will use less Dijon, cook the onion and garlic first and skip my Cajun idea

Herbed Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
Quick and delicious! I had everything on hand and they were prepped and baked in under 25 mins. The only personal change I made was to use 1/2 cup of panko crumbs in place of the wheat germ because I wanted them extra crunchy

Tandoori Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I have had this in restaurants many times, but this was my first attempt. Not the same spice taste as what I am used to but turned out pretty good, paired with Bombay style potatoes and chickpeas in mild curry sauce. I got lazy after that and bought some naan at a local market :) Otherwise a great start for an Indian style dinner

Cornbread Dressing I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I had a family get together and I was asked to bring a dish to go with a pork roast. I had a taste for stuffing, but wanted it to be different. This was perfect! Not only did it go well since it has a pork flavor, but it was a hit! The picky eaters enjoyed!!! My only change was increasing to half a pound of pork sausage, I wanted to add more pork flavor and I am glad I did

Pork Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I made this for breakfast one day to get use of our leftover biscuits. It was decent, but I had to add seasoning in order to rid the taste of flour. Next time I think I will cook sausage or even bacon to have the grease and then make the gravy, I think that will help flavor it up.

Carrot Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Best Carrot cake I have ever made! (and I have made many) I made this for Easter 2009 and let me say this one is a keeper, it was very moist and flavorful. The frosting was great too. I added some food coloring to some that I had separated and made little carrots and border as well. My family loved it and thought it looked cute! Thanks

Sour Cream-Topped Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
I was looking for a recipe similar to the way my grandmother made cheesecake and was very happy to find this one, since she also used the sweet sour cream topping. It was very easy to make and I had everything on hand! My topping turned out perfect and white. Tasty and pretty :)
