About this Cook
Well I never know where to start exactly, but I absolutely love trying new foods, I'm always looking for a new recipe to keep things spiced up (in the kitchen!) I used to love helping my mom and grandma in the kitchen. Even though it started with them letting me lick the spoon, you have to start somewhere right? I remember the first thing I made on my own with my mom watching. I made raisin bread. I felt like such a big girl it was awesome. I think I was about 7, and she kept wanting to correct me, but didn't. She finally let me do it without help. I remember slicing some for my dad and I kept reminding him that I made it all by myself. He said he loved it. So that is where it all started. Now I live with Adam, our beautiful son Ethan, and our wiener dog Bruno. They are the ones enjoying most of my cooking/baking now, but it is just such a good feeling to be able to make something different or something they love and see that happiness they get from what I made. My favorite things to cook
I love making holiday favorites, my family has some great family recipes. My favorite food is dessert!! big chocolate chip cookies, decorated cupcakes, cheesecake, varieties of candy.
My cooking triumphs
I can say that recently I have been making a variety of dinners and desserts and each one is better than the last so I am going to round that down as the triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Oh the many many tragedies...I've burned, over spiced, under-cooked, over-cooked, dropped and even a couple times the dog got to it before us!

Dijon Garlic Salmon
Hold the Dijon! I wanted to give a new flavor to the salmon I had ready to cook and thought this looked amazing. I didn't have tarragon or onions, so I just put Dijon garlic and a little Cajun seasoning for some heat. I was overwhelmed by the dijon but I think it will be better next time with some changes for my taste. I will use less Dijon, cook the onion and garlic first and skip my Cajun idea

Herbed Chicken Nuggets
Quick and delicious! I had everything on hand and they were prepped and baked in under 25 mins. The only personal change I made was to use 1/2 cup of panko crumbs in place of the wheat germ because I wanted them extra crunchy
