Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Great, easy recipe. The dough was such a nice consistency and rolled out so nicely for me (and I always have trouble rolling sugar cookie dough!). I used beef broth in place of milk & beef boullion and honey instead of sugar. Smelled great in the oven and my dogs really seem to enjoy them! I'll definitely try a variation with peanut butter in the future.

Asparagus and Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
Very yummy! I took the suggestion of another reviewer and covered the dish with foil for the last 10-12 minutes of cooking. Chicken was moist and very tasty. I did use garlic salt for extra flavor. Hubby & I both enjoyed this; we'll make it again!

Yum! I didn't have any almond extract, but otherwise made the recipe as is and it was great. Will use this as my go-to spritz recipe. Thanks!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Very tasty. I used cheddar cheese, as that's all I had on hand, but I look forward to trying this again with a mixture of cheeses.

Beer-Baked Irish Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Excellent! I didn't have any Guinness, so I just used 3 cups or so of beef broth. I also added two large potatoes, peeled and chopped. Smelled SO wonderful in my crockpot all day. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Irish Soda Bread in a Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Very tasty! I've never had Irish Soda Bread before, so I had nothing to compare to, but my Irish husband really liked it. I added a tbsp of sugar and since I don't have an iron skillet, I baked on a cookie sheet w/ parchment paper for 25 minutes. Once it was done, I brushed it w/ melted butter and sprinkled carraway seeds on top. Was great with our beef stew for St. Pat's!

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Very tasty!!! I made a few changes based on reviews and what I had on hand, but not so much that it changed the essence of the recipe. Very good and we'll definitely make this again.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

These were great and so easy to make. So much better than store-bought, processed nuggets! I think I might add a little garlic next time for extra flavor.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
Awesome! I made cloverleafs instead of crescents, and since I don't have a bread machine, I followed other reviews and used my Kitchenaid mixer. These are fantastic and I'll be making them often!

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This was my first time ever making homemade bread and it was a success! Thank you so much for this easy recipe. The only thing I did differently was to do 3 cups whole wheat flour and 4 cups all-purpose.

Spicy Mango Sweet Potato Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Very tasty and unique! I skipped the hot sauce since we don't keep any on hand, but I did add a few dashes of ginger for increased flavor. Served with the Garlic Lime Asparagus from this site. Will definitely make it again!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
This has great potential, though it was too much soy sauce for our tastes. Next time I'll cut down on that and/or increase the brown sugar. I also took other reviewers' suggestions and coated the chicken in flour before cooking. The sauce thickened up almost as soon as I added it to the pan, and wow, sticky is the perfect description! My husband also suggested adding toasted sesame seeds. We'll try making this again, thanks.
