Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
We are big pumpkin fans, but this one didn't hit the mark. We won't be making it again.

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
This is now one of our staples. You can use many different ingredients. I make a batch and a half in a larger glass pan. For a batch and half in a glass pan it generally takes about 55 minutes to cook through. I basically use whatever is left in the fridge. I have added 1C broccoli or Spinach. I also substituted ham for the bacon, mozzarella for the swiss, etc. It's a very good, base for whatever type of quiche you want to make. Thanks for the recipe.

Gloomy Day Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
We loved it. I did use plain yogurt and didn't need to add any sugar (my banana was very ripe). The smoothie was very good and we liked it, but after a couple of drinks my son suggested we add some cinnamon and that simply made the drink. We just sprinkled a dash of cinnamon on top of each glass.

Country Cabbage Soup

Very good hearty soup. Nice for a cold snowy day. I followed others advice and added 1/2t garlic powder. The garlic wasn't overpowering.

BREAKSTONE'S Triple Chocolate Bliss Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
I made this one for a family birthday. It was a big hit. I didn't have any raspberries, so I left the middle empty. It was very good without the fruit. I am anxious to try it again with the raspberries.

Amish Breakfast Casserole (Vegetarian)

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
This was a big hit on for our Christmas Breakfast. We have some vegetarians so I left out the bacon. It was still a big hit and the first casserole that was completely gone. Everyone enjoyed it vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.

Looked beautiful. Not sure if it was how it was served but it wasn't a big hit. Tasted like brie, nothing special.

Luscious Four-Layer PHILLY Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
We loved it. I wasn't paying attention and used the whole can of pumpkin for the cake. It was wonderful. everyone agreed we should always use the full can. I had another can on hand and used 2/3C of the pumpkin in the filling. It was good the first day, but we all liked it better the second day.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
Made according to the directions. The flavor of the marinade/Sauce was not a hit at our house. It was okay and since I had leftovers I cut the pork chops into smaller pieces and heated them on the stove with additional sauce. We then had the leftovers with rice. Everyone actually enjoyed this more than the original chops. I won't be making this one again.
