Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Great recipe. Used margarine instead and cut out the nuts, both for food allergy reasons. Was loved by all broccoli eaters in family, but no converts. Made twice now and will continue to grab for this recipe when don't want to eat the broccoli raw.

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

This was liked by both the kids and adults. We had about 2 1/2 lbs vs. the 1 1/2 so I added a can of cream of celery soup and, following other suggestions, used the onion soup mix instead of the onion. I don't like using the "low" setting on the crock pot for chicken, so I cooked on high for about 3 hours. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Will make again.

Favorite Corn Bread

I followed one of the earlier listed suggestions and added a (long) squirt of honey. It was still a tad dry; next time I'll use buttermilk instead of skim. This was a winner with both kids and adults at the table.

Apple Cider Chicken Marinade

I was looking for a new marinade for "beer can chicken," which is my favorite way to cook chicken. Used dried herbs instead of fresh and reserved marinade for basting. This was very easy, kid friendly, and good for a weekday meal.
