Morning Glory Muffins I

These muffins were delicious. I used one half cup white sugar and one half brown sugar. I also used one half apple and one half pear. Next time I might put some pecans in the batter. I will use this recipe often. My thanks to Jack Dickson for sharing it with us.

Land of Nod Cinnamon Buns

They were really good, but don't eat them if you don't like a LOT of sugar!!! They didn't rise as much as we thought they would, but we only left them out 8 hours, so maybe longer will help! Good luck!!!

Mrs Espy's Enchilada Sauce

This is my LEAST favorite recipe in all of this site. I cannot figure out where the five star rating came from. Even after adding the chicken stock, beef stock, sugar, and everything else in the kitchen, trying to just get it to taste decent it still tasted terrible.My chili powder is really good in everything else, but even that could not help this disaster! The canned stuff is MUCH, MUCH, better than this. Thanks, Mrs Espy, but no thanks for this leaves a LOT to be desired in enchilada sauce. Sorry.....

Carrot Spice Muffins

These did not have the spicy taste that I was expecting, and were of course, not very sweet at all because of the lack of sugar. Maybe they needed a few more raisins or spices to jazz up the flavor a little. I think the nuts saved the day, and I used pecans instead of walnuts.

Baked Basil Fries

These potatoes were really good, I did, however, add a little seasoned salt to the recipe. I also cut them in thin round slices and piled them in a smaller pan, they cooked good that way, and remained moist.

Mint Chocolate Fudge

I was a little more than disappointed in the taste of the mint part of this. I had to use the white almond bark, because that was all I could find. I did not like the flavor that the bark gave for the mint part of the recipe.

Lime Gelatin Salad I

This was good, but not as flavorful as it sounds. I could hardly taste the cream cheese...but you can't hardly go wrong with cranberry, cream cheese, pineapple, and nuts all in one dish.

Cranberry Waldorf

I didn't really care for this, it was much too tart for my taste, and the flavor was just not quite right. Maybe too many cranberrys???..or a different dressing....??? I won't make this again. Sorry....

Simple Baked Apples

We liked this a lot. I used apples and pears because I have a lot of pears this time of year. Next time, I may throw in a few cranberrys also. Very quick and easy to do...thanks for the recipe

Baked Fake Steak with Gravy

The name may not be quite right,(it in no way reminds one of steak), but the flavor wasn't bad. I could not find the mushroom soup with beef, so I used the mushroom soup and some beef granuels,which worked fine. I won't make this again though...sorry....

Cinnamon Chip Filled Crescents

These were absolutely delicious!! I didn't even use the glaze on top, and they were plenty good without it. Next time, though, I might try mixing in some chopped pecans along with the cinnamon chips. So quick and easy, that's the part I like most. Thanks for the recipe..

Cranberry Muffins

These muffins were great. I used half brown sugar and half white just because I like brown sugar in everything. I made 6 giant muffins and cooked them about 40 min. I may try them without the ginger next time. Love em!

Apple Dumplings I

These were very good. I used cinnamon rolls, and they were really good. I would have liked a bit more crust. Maybe next time I will use two rolls instead of one. Or maybe my apple slices were too big. So quick and easy to do too.

Green Punch

This had a great taste, and was a beautiful color for Christmas. I garnished with some sliced lime and marchino cheeries to make it even more festive. All the adults loved it, but the kids weren't that crazy about it.

Beef and Biscuit

This was pretty good. It was quick and easy, and I had all the ingrediants on hand. I thought it lacked a little something...maybe some more tomato taste. I may try using Rotel tomatoes next time.
