About this Cook
My name is Jolean and like most Southern girls I love to cook. I especially love gourmet and Italian food! Mangia, Mangia!!
My favorite things to cook
Italian foods, Sauces, gourmet, Healthy foods, Quick & Easy, Spicy. My favorite meats are (in order): Buffalo, Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Turkey.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to cook alone! LoL. I like to have the kitchen all to myself so I can just get in there and have fun. (I have no kids). Sometimes I let my husband help, but not often. I love to cook for other people, whether it's movie night with the family, pot-luck, or Sunday afternoon lunch at church.
My cooking triumphs
I just mastered some chocolate chip cookies, made a great homemade chili recently, and I don't think I have ever made anything my husband didn't love - and yes he does have picky taste buds!
My cooking tragedies
None that I can think of - thank God!

Quick Tuna Casserole
This is a perfect quick dinner fix!! It is great just the way it is, or I've also modified it a few times. Add 2 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce, this just gives it a slightly richer home-cooked taste. I have also made it with cream of celery instead of mushroom. To make more just add egg noodles. This is a must try dish! Serve with salad, whole wheat rolls and honey butter. Mmmm.

USMC SOS
Just thought I'd let everyone know, SOS stands for SH*T ON A SHINGLE. My dad was a Marine and we ate this a lot growing up, the name doesn't do it justice cause it's G-R-E-A-T!

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs
OMIT THE VINEGAR! These ribs were great, but too vinegary. Remember, boneless ribs don't take nearly as long to cook!
