About this Cook
Mom of two great kids, that are NOT picky eaters! Grew up in a house, where my mom never left the kitchen. I like my glass of wine, or a beer, music, singing and alot of dancing when in my kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Seasonal Cook. I only grill in the summer, bake in the winter, and cook all the other times!
My cooking tragedies
make sure you bottle is made for a dash and not a pour! I have ruined some great dishes at the last minute!

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes
I've made this for the last two years, easy no fail. I remove to dish and layer marshmellows on top and broil for a split second! always gone!

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli
I made this recipe for the 3rd time tonight, It is delicious, I tweeked a little this time, I didn't use near as much salt, and added additional garlic when cooking the shrimp. this is definately a keeper! oh, since my oldest is not a big shrimp eater, I take chicken and throw it in the same pan I cooked the shrimp in and add it to her pasta, everyone loves it here!

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup
I made this recipe this week and it was great. It will be in my rotation! I tweaked a bit, for my personal convenience and taste. I used a store bought rotissere (herb&garlic) I removed all the meat, then put the bones and juices and skin in the broth until it came to a boil, I then let it simmer another 10 minutes or so. removed and discarded.( decided to do this based on other reviews ) I used butter instead of olive oil, and I used 5 cloves of garlic instead of 3. I did not use the cornstarch/water, I used gnocchi off the shelf and cut it in half with sissors. I think I added almost 10oz of spinich This is truly one of our favorite soup recipes...I will be making this for years to come! thank you so much, I had been wanting a soup like this. Nothing bland about this.
