Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2012
Delicious recipe! Couple this with the video on how to grill chicken, and you will end up with yummy, perfectly grilled, moist chicken. This is our marinade from now on! We did not have steak sauce, so we followed another reviewer's advice and used worcestershire sauce instead. Still divine! Give this recipe a try. You won't be sorry.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
I followed the marinade instructions plus added 1/4 cup of white cooking wine. I also did not use the bacon to cut back on fat. I used beef cubes, shrimp marinated in lemon garlic juice, chicken, green bell peppers, baby potatoes, mushrooms, onions, and pineapple. I did not use the marinade listed on the onion, pineapple, or shrimp. It was fabulous on the rest of the meat and veggies. My husband said this was the best grilled meal he has ever eaten. Thank you for the yummy, easy recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
Yummy! I made this as is written, and they came out moist and perfect. I made them to take to a family at our church, but my husband had to sample them fresh out of the oven first. He gives them an A+++. I can't wait to find out how the children of this family like them. Thank you for sharing!

Fire Roasted Tomato and Feta Pasta with Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
Fabulous recipe as-is! Definitely restaurant quality. It really is ready in less than 30 minutes and is incredibly easy to make. I added a little (1/4 cup) white wine with my olive oil. Next time I will also use one more can of tomatoes for more sauce. I will be adding this to my make often recipes.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This lived up to it's name. It is amazing. I followed other suggestions. I made the chicken first, as directed. Then, I made the pasta (I used Penne). I made the other additives next, but I used kalamata olives instead of capers. I made the sauce last and doubled it, which was totally unnecessary. The sauce does, however need to be made last. It turned out better than restaurant quality. Great dish!

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
This was my first time making corn chowder. It was delicious! Great recipe! Here were my changes: I used a slice of bacon, not ham. I added cubed chicken as the meat. I used 2 cans of chicken broth, covered the veggies in water, and used 2 chicken bouillon cubes. To season, I used paprika, a little sage, a little hot sauce, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. I will be making this again for sure!

Chicken Marsala II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
This was my first attempt at chicken marsala. I followed this recipe exactly except doubling the mushrooms and sauce. I also love garlic and sautéed my mushrooms with about two tablespoons of minced garlic. All I have to say is this is better than restaurant quality. Delicious!

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2011
I actually added a bit of frozen lemon concentrate (thawed, of course), and this turned out yummy! As you know, watermelon has a consistency much like applesauce, so this was a little grainy, but it was still delicious to the taste! Refreshing and not too sweet, this makes a yummy summer treat.

Candy Cane Fudge

This was wonderful. I added a little more peppermint extract to make it more flavorful. I also swirled red dye in it as mentioned. This was a very popular Christmas treat. It will be a party staple from now on!

Traditional Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
This is a delicious mac and cheese recipe! It's easy, cheap, and tastes great. I had another recipe that cost me almost $20 just in the cheese that I had to buy. This one cost me less than $7. It's great left over, too! I followed the recipe exactly, and it is fine just the way it is. Just make sure to never over-salt!

Snow Ice Cream II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I just made this for my husband and myself. I have never had snow cream, but my husband used to eat it at his grandmother's house. He said this recipe tasted exactly like what his grandmother used to make. Delicious! We will be making it for our children as well.

Spicy Fry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I really liked this sauce. I actually fried squash and zucchini and dipped them in this sauce. Yummy! I added ranch dressing, which I think was a mistake. I also added some Texas Pete sauce, and that really made it good! This is a flexible recipe. Add your own favorite dipping sauces together. You might be surprised!

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Everyone at the Thanksgiving reunion said this was the best cheesecake they had ever eaten! It is a new tradition! I only modified the recipe by adding pecans to the crust and a little extra cinnamon to the cake. I also made my own cinnamon whipped cream to top off this yummy cake. This cake does leak. I wrapped my pan in aluminum foil before baking, and I'm sure glad I did! Also, the cake cracks even when heated with water in the oven. Make sure you have some whipped cream on hand to cover the crack! Otherwise, this is a smooth, delicious, light cheesecake. Enjoy!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
These cookies are FANTASTIC! I followed advice and switched the sugars. I had 1/3 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown. I also baked these for 10 minutes as suggested. They came out gooey and perfect! My husband is a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and he can't get enough of these things! I will definitely be making these again.

Nana's Apple Crisp

This came out delicious! I followed the recipe, but I added 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract to mine. My husband ate half the batch as soon as it came out of the oven! I have never had a better apple crisp. I will be making this again!

Basil Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
Delicious! This is tea room quality! I made it for my husband last night. He was licking his bowl clean. I know it's a good meal when he tilts the bowl or plate up to his mouth to scrape the remnants in. I changed the whipping cream to heavy cream and pureed my tomatoes, but I otherwise stuck to the recipe given. I don't like chunky soup, and the diced tomatoes were still too big for my taste, so I pureed them in a food processor to make them more of a sauce. That's just how I like it. I'll definitely be making this one again!
