About this Cook
I am a pastor's wife and young mother. My husband loves to eat, so I had to learn how to cook. I didn't know how to cook before I got married. Thanks to this site, my church thinks I am a pro! I am a musician and got my degree in voice study.
My favorite things to cook
Stir-fry, pasta, homemade soups, desserts!! Anything for a church potluck.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Homemade spaghetti and meat balls, lasagna, chicken casserole, sweet potato casserole
My cooking triumphs
Most things with a recipe. I always have wonderful desserts.
My cooking tragedies
Fried shrimp. I am still learning how to fry! Any suggestions?

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken
Delicious recipe! Couple this with the video on how to grill chicken, and you will end up with yummy, perfectly grilled, moist chicken. This is our marinade from now on! We did not have steak sauce, so we followed another reviewer's advice and used worcestershire sauce instead. Still divine! Give this recipe a try. You won't be sorry.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs
I followed the marinade instructions plus added 1/4 cup of white cooking wine. I also did not use the bacon to cut back on fat. I used beef cubes, shrimp marinated in lemon garlic juice, chicken, green bell peppers, baby potatoes, mushrooms, onions, and pineapple. I did not use the marinade listed on the onion, pineapple, or shrimp. It was fabulous on the rest of the meat and veggies. My husband said this was the best grilled meal he has ever eaten. Thank you for the yummy, easy recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yummy! I made this as is written, and they came out moist and perfect. I made them to take to a family at our church, but my husband had to sample them fresh out of the oven first. He gives them an A+++. I can't wait to find out how the children of this family like them. Thank you for sharing!
