Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)
I found out about this recipe because it came to my email address. I have been meaning to try it for a while now and I finally got around to cooking it. All I can say is WOW! This is definitely a dish I will make often. My daughter is a very picky eater and she loves it. As I was cooking she said, "It smells so good!" :-) Anyway, I did not have Yogurt but I plan to have it the next time I cook this dish so I can see what it taste like. It is really good without it so I cannot complain. I read other reviews and I added Cumin and a pinch of Cinnamon. The flavor is Awesome! Thanks so much for posting this great vegetarian recipe. **UPDATE** I made this dish again but this time I tried it with sour cream and it was AWESOME. I used 2 cups of vegetable broth and a cup and a half of water. I did not have the long grain rice so I used my Riceland medium grade brown rice and it was sooooooo good. In order for the rice to have a fair chance at cooking, I added it after the Lentils started boiling. I am going to continue making it this way. Thanks again for this wonderful veggie recipe. :-)

Crispy Barbequed Tofu Slices
My only complaint about this recipe is that I could not stop eating the slices lol. My daughter has never been a fan of Tofu but she ate her BBQ slices and said that she likes them. YEA!! When I prepared them I was a bit nervous at first because the slices had that soft texture after I broiled them. Then I thought of just baking them in the oven and then I started reading other reviews about baking them so I felt better about making the decision to bake them. They turned out crispy and great! Who would have thought that Tofu could taste so good. :-)
